History of Nation: Niflheimr started as a autocratic regime where there would be senior rulers presiding over the country beside an adjucator that would monitor his/her actions.

Summary of Current Leadership: The United Federation of Niflheimr is ruled under a psuedo military monarchy, whose current ruler is Consul Sifyu. It is a democratic system, however the real rulers are in fact powerful generals and admirals from the old Aremenian Ruling families. They pride themselves on a strong military and strong leaders.

Summary
The species would be based on Foxes, who in their nature are isolated, only joining up in packs when they need to. In a similar vein, the government in their society would be similar to the Old Icelandic Godord system, where those who wish to be Godor (Leaders) had to persuade others to follow them voluntary, and these people are free to join and leave as they like. This leads to a community where leaders are directly accountable to those that follow. This government system is locally known as the Flux (short for Fluctuating) due to the rise and fall of popularity over issues and personalities. A colloquial name for the Refur has been coined by humanity as "Star Foxes" and their region of space known as the "Star Fox"

History

Current Leadership
The refur are currently led by Cornelia Rosso, a pragmatic leader who is known for the way she steadfastly maintains the liberties and rights, and a heavy hand on corruption. This has bought the good will of the population, as they prepare for a new age of prosperity.

Military
With revolution and dawn of the space age, there was a consensus to establish the Stragetic Response (SR) as a unified basis for exploration into the stars. This is a system follows the will of the people (via Direct Democracy), to hire independent contractors (mercanies/colonists/etc) to do the tasks desired. So when you come across fleets of these species, they range from 1-ship bounty hunters, to multi-ship cooperatives. These ships are generally outfitted with the latest technologies, led by experienced captains, and quick to adapt to situations. A fear to all those who face the wrath of the Refur.

An entertainment series has led to civil popularity with the Stragetic Response, showing the adventures of a mercenary named "Fox" who takes to the stars, battling galatic threats which seek to impose tyranny and slavery upon the unsuspecting Refur.

Culture
Liberty is sarced to this species, and there has been much blood-shed in the past due to the rise of tyrants and those who wish to subvert this. They hold Freedom of Association, Freedom of Speech, and Freedom for Self-Defense to be tenets of their society.

As hinted in previous paragraph, war is generally conducted in a self-defense basis, unless it is really in their interest to attempt to persuade others to follow the rallying call. So those worried by the appearance akin to 2nd Amendment of this species, they generally have nothing to worry unless they act or seen to be acting in a hostile manner.

FLUFF:

History: The Seresians evolved as predatorial and intelligent reptiles on their homeworld of Ecumene, a highly competitive world filled with many large predators. During their hunter-gatherer and early agricultural period of evolution the Seresians had an enormous number of rival sub-species, far more than most species. The presence of so many rival genetic cousins competing for land and territory with the Seresian species caused them to become highly exclusionary and ethnocentri. The Seresians eventually overcome their many genetic cousin sub-species through becoming master domesticators of the larger non-intelligent predators, turning them into weapons, beasts of burden and mounts, as well as adopting a societal mindset (combined with naturally very high reproduction rates) of mass outbreeding rivals.

Domestication became a basis for all Seresian culture and civilisation which so many millennia later has been engrained into their society and species very existence. The domestication of so many species of Ecumene gave Seresians domination of their world, and after the foundation of the first nation-states and city-states, Seresians had begun 'domesticating' their cousin sub-species as mass slaves.

Civilisation has been built on the mass enslavement of these sub-species until the last few centuries where the sub-species are becoming too few in number to maintain the Seresian nations. The sub-species numbers begun to dwindle massively as the Seresian nations diverted more and more food to their own massive and rapidly expanding populations as the world rapidly headed towards a Malthuasian Catastrophe from said overpopulation. Seresian industrialisation came later than other species (relatively) due to industrialisation only becoming of interest after the decline of sub-species slavery populations.

The combination of the slave population collapse and approaching Malthuasian Catastrophe from Seresians extremely high birth rates and culture of "out-breeding rivals" shifted political ideology towards statism and collectivist thinking, with many nations implementing population control (a la one child policy). This modern-age era was frought with economic collapse, slave domination/liberation wars and "Agri-wars" (wars fought over control of eras of the world that is most fertile) as nations tried to mononpolise food and slaves to maintain their nations.

Eventually this period of chaos continued until spacefaring technology (satellites) were first developed, and the third largest but wealthiest nation of the world almost immediately used this technology to place kill-sat kinetic "rods from god" into orbit and declare world domination, this scheme was successful and united the world by force, that nation renaming itself the Ecumenial Seresian Empire.

The Ecumenial Seresian Empire was able to maintain its new-found empire through more advanced agricultural technology and the vast resources of space found in asteroid belts. Entering the interstellar era with the discovery of the Warp Drive, they are now determined to find new worlds to colonise and require new slave races to supplement the dying out sub-species slaves.

ETHOS/TRAIT EXPLANATION (SUMMARISED):
-Militarist: The Malthuasian Catastrophe ushered in an age of warfare which even after unification has not been abandoned
-Collectivist: The Malthuasian Catastrophe brought about by extreme population growth caused many nations and populations to adopt collectivist mindsets. While the one-child policies have been dropped due to the immensely large expanse of space to colonise, this form of thinking has remained intact.
-Xenophobe: Brought on by a history of competiting with many sub-species and its evolutionary obsession with domestication (and from there, domination and slavery). They don't have an obsessive need to purge-kill-destroy all other life-forms, but they are very "Seresian first" in mindset.

-Thrifty: The Seresians are naturally inclined towards achieving as much wealth as physically possible and in the most efficient means possible to maintain their less stable form of civilisation. The ruling empire that united the world was also an economic-powerhouse, being the centre of planetary trade, commerce, banking and culture. Since then, the entire empires culture has permeanted to the rest.
-Rapid Breeder: as stated above, they have very high reproductive rates (mostly evolved from millions of years of dealing with much larger predators) and an engrained culture of mass-breeding as a societal weapon (Due to their history of competiting with many sub-species for territory)
-Decadent: Their society (and in a way, their species base psychology) is highly dependent on slavery as their species evolved with extreme focus on domestication against many competiting species and animals. Since then, they have lasted thousands of years depending on massive (but now declining) numbers of slaves for labour and the vast majority of the ruling elite and even lower classes have come to enjoy this.

Summary of Nation:The main inspiration for this comes from the Author John Scalzi and his book series "Old Man's War" where a race called Obin was uplifted by another race called Consu who than just left the Obin alone.And then i just put a bit of christian stuff in there with "let my people leave" etc and the extermination war just because we can´t start with 2 species on the same planet and kind of the mass effect conflict between Geth and Quarians// currently i am not realy sure what the queens want so...thats a thing i am working on ^^

Summary of Current Leadership: With the gaining of sapiens through the generations the queens established a goverment that is represented by one of there most capable children since the ruling queens decidet to never deal with outsiders directly.

History of Nation/Culture and Explanation of Ethos: The Gendarian are in fact the second sapient race to rise in the deserts of Old Gendar. They were upliftet by the Karatum the now extinct first sapient race of the Planet.The Karatum lived at shorelines around a small ocean in the middel of a mighty desert.They wanted to use the Gendar as a tool to be able to survive in the desert and help them spread around the planet.
The Karatum were a deeply Spiritual species who basicly woreshiped everything around there precious and limited water.
They told the now uplifted und slowly sentient/sapiens developing Queens of the Gendar that they were gods for they gave them a new and better life under there rule.For a hundread years the Queens were gratefull and obeyed the Karatum and helped them to spread through the desert of their home world. But the Queens werent the only ones gaining a understanding of "being" there former mindless drones also started to "be".When the queens realized that there drones where no more mere drones but there children they started to question the Karatum who used there children as slaves to survive in the desert.When the Council of Queens send their Oldest and First queen to the Karatum High Priest and requested that there children should no longer serve as slaves. The High priest was shocked when he saw that there "tools" were fare more self aware then they
thought.So he did what everyone does when a tool starts acting up... you will dispose it.
The Guards executed the first queen on the spot and gave order to exterminate every Gendar on sight.
In there decadence the Karatum forgot who helped them to survive in the desert, who build there citys who knew exactly how precious and importent the water was for the Karatum.
In the next 10 years a bloody extermination war raveged the planet but in the end the Karatum ceased to exist.With the death of the last Karatum the Gendar rejected slavery from there young nation and culture and created a new religion around the death of the "First Queen" who sacrificed herself for the good of the whole race.Furthermore they want to find other species and maybe help them find there way to the stars.

Summary of Nation: They're literally the Orks from 40K with a few terminology changes.

History of Nation: Big Boss Gitsmasha is not the first in a long line of Troll warlords who've sought to unite their entire race -- far from it, in fact -- but he is the first to actually succeed at it. Being bigger and meaner than his kin from the day he crawled out of the earth, his was a life of constant competition with those around him, as was expected for every warboy, in order to weed out the weak and allow the strong to prosper. Because of this, and the short life expectanty of the average Troll, it wasn't long before he joined his warchief's personal retinue as second in command; but such an accomplishment was still not enough for the ambitious young Troll! Krumping his own warboss in a one on one duel to the death, he took control of his forces and led them on a massive RAAAGH! across the entire planet, fighting off rival tribes, fierce wildlife, and would-be successors alike. This tale of grand conquest is often told around campfires by ambitious young boyz as inspiration, detailing how he had singlehandedly, among other things, tamed great beasts that had plagued tribes for generations, recovered sacred artifacts from the darkest depths of the Raaaghhallan jungle, and sometimes just straight-up bashed the other chief over the head with a really big rock.

Eventually, all tribes bore the symbol of Gitsmasha on their flag. It is said that once this was realized, a great celebration was had, where the boyz fought eachother to prove who was "bigga 'n tuffa", feasted on the finest mushroom beer and poached meats, and danced all night long, for thirty nights and thirty days. During this time, however, Gitsmasha and his retinue of lesser warchiefs were nowhere to be seen; he had gathered them and their greatest shamans in his new tent, the size of a great beast and made from the leather of one personally slain by him, and told them of a divine vision he had had. He pointed up to the stars, twinkling past the vines that covered the night sky, and explained to them that in his dreams, he had seen that there were many other planets out there as well, just out of reach, and that he had seen a time when Trollz would go to conquer them and have the best damn scrap they'd ever had, fighting all new gits that weren't even Trollz.

A warchief immediately laughed at him and asked if he'd had too much to drink. He got krumped before anybody else could join in.

The shamans convened with the great spirits during the celebration, gyrating and spasming in Gitsmasha's tent, and after the thirty days and thirty nights, they arose, changed. They instructed Gitsmasha to have the weediest and most expendable boyz used as slaves to plunge deep into the earth, digging for the shiny rocks they'd need. In a matter of months, they progressed from petty tribalism to just enough for what they'd need to take to the stars, the surface of Raaaghhalla enveloped by smoke-billowing factories.

A new threat is coming to the galaxy, one that will leave it forever changed.

Summary of Current Leadership: Gitsmasha might have a council of high shamans and lesser warchiefs at his disposal, but this is just for the convenience of rallying his forces; Gitsmasha is the one and only absolute ruler of Trollkind, and anybody who claims otherwise must be ready to fight to the death for it.

Culture and Explanation of Ethos: The planet known to the Trollz as Raaghhalla is encompassed by a hellish, world-wide jungle, where everything must constantly evolve to compete for the title of apex predator or die out within the blink of a single generation. The end result of this vicious cycle is the Trollz themselves, a sturdy, warlike fungoid race, viewed as barbaric by the rest of the galaxy but possessing a simple perspective that works well enough for them; if you're weak, you get krumped, and if you're strong, you do the krumping. This has led them to be incredibly hostile to both themselves and especially to any outsiders, their society being a social darwinist's wet dream. The lack of even a single specimen of flora or fauna on their homeworld that's not life-threateningly deadly in some way or another has led peace to be completely incomprehensible to them, and any attempts to bribe or reason with them will just lead them to turn their weapons on their would-be allies sometime later instead of immediately.

Okay, looking that the video that PDX released, the largest number characters in a name was 23. This doesn't mean that nation names can't be longer, but that's the largest I've seen.

Summary of Nation: Somewhat modeled after the late Roman republic. The species is highly elitist and hierarchical, the Patricians that rule the nation with an iron fist come from the Military caste, below them are the merchants, then come the commoners and at the bottom slaves. Dzagar Primus is divided in small areas extremely rich in resources with a high concentration of food and minerals and areas where the tundra extends for kilometers with little available to support life. Because of this as the Jazax evolved the first city states were enstablished in the fertile and thriving regions of the planet whilist the more primitive tribes lived as nomads in the hostile tundra. The City state of Praktorex on the the second largest continent of the planet was the home of those that would become the Patricians and unify Dzagar Primus. The inhabitants of Praktorex made extensive use of slaves, they raided and pirated tehir neighbouring city states and nomadic tribes with frequency, the ever growing city thrived for centuries subduing those who opposed them but instead of integrating the new conquests they replaced the ruling class with their own and enslaved the population. Every city state thus had a patrician ruling it, they all enjoyed a relative amount of power and independence from the capital, however around the time of the discovery of gunpowder and of a new continent, the small Praktorex dominion came in contact with a much larger nomadic empire that had subdued the vast majority of the city states in the whole continent. The Jazax of Praktorex realised the need to mantain unity amongst them to face the enemy therefore the first Autokrator was elected, Machat I the Great, who would lead his people to victory after a 40 years long war with the Nomadic empire of Hugar. After Machat's death the smaller yet more technological advanced and richer Praktorex dominion controlled most of the coast and started to make its way inland. For centuries the following Autokrators led their forces made of professional soldiers, mercenaries and slaves against the nomadic horde of the Hugar to the east and the free nations on the far west. Culture thrived as the ruling class invested its resources in magnificent palaces and monuments the construction of which costed the lives of hundreds of thausands of slaves. Science too developed rather quickly thanks to the constant profits derived from raids, conquest and slavery. The constant warfare led to the development of a military caste from which came the Patricians and militarism became embedded in Jazax culture along with obedience to the state and authoritarinism. The Jezax were not devoid of internal conflics, many slave uprisings had to be put down and many a time the commoners in the sprawling metropolis attemped to overthrow their oppressive overlords, nonetheless those were but minor setbacks for the Patricians who plotted and schemed to see themselves ruling what they saw as their birthright. With the advent of mechanised warfare, heavy artillery and more efficient instruments of war the Jazax of Praktorex engaged for a final push for planetary unification which they saw within their grasp. Waging a total war against the few remaining free cities, democratic nations and the carcass of the once grat Hugar empire the Patricians of Praktorex finally achieved victory; with the weponization of chemical compounds and bacterias Autokrator Dlogar the Butcher put an end to the war by utterly destroying several cities and slaughtering millions of innocents. After that it was only a question of time before the remainig City States and nations surrendered and pledged alligiance to the Patricians of Praktorex. Thus was born the Praktorex Dominion, a Despotic regime who extended its power from the capitol and installed its military elites in every province oppressing, enslaving and exploiting everyone in the pursuit of power and glory.

Summary of Current Leadership: The First among Patricians, Grand Overlord of Dzagar Primus Gozrak'Nam, is the current Autokrat of the Jazax, and ruler of the Praktorex Dominion. Gozrak'Nam rules with an iron fist over the planet, he is feared and reveared by the masses and well respected by his fellow Patricians.

Culture and Explanation of Ethos:



The Jazax of the Praktorex Dominion live in an elitist society based on principles of social darwinism: the strong rules the weak obeys. Slavery has been part of the Praktorex society for centuries and when the Patricians conquered the whole planet they forced their costumes on their subjects. The slaves and the commoners are forced to work in the mines or in the land belonging to the Patricians. The jazax are indoctrinated to hate their inferiors and respect their betters, they are xenophobic and racist, judging people on the base of social status and wealth. The only way for a commoner to make a name for himself is in the army, the sole alternative to poverty and misery, thus millions of Jazax aspire to join the military forces and hold unltra nationalistic views. This paired with centuries of warfare have made the Jazax jingoist and militarist. The jazax are also obsessed with mantaining the hierarchical structure of their society, they are conformists who put the survuval of the Practorex dominion above all else, and have little regard for life. This lack of empathy and the sheer brutality with which the upper class treats its inferiors make the Jazax revolting to most of the other species in the galaxy.





In short, the Praktorex Dominion is home of a race of xenophobic elitists obsessed with controll, nationalism and hierrchies. The oppressive rule of the Autokrator and his Patricians seeks new planets to conquer, new people to enslave and to make a name for the Jazax in the galaxy.

Origin: [Partly mixed up but below is my general idea so far]:
Early in evolution the Govi were mostly living high up in the trees and ate the fruits that grew there to avoid the dangers below. Due to their weak and small bodys they had always been at an disadvantage to other animals when they had to leave their trees to drink or give birth, etc. To survive these dangers they needed to rely on their minds and ability to outthink problmes and obviously they have always been quite good at it. This skill comes from their advanced minds and their immense curiosity. Early they discovered the usefulness of combining various materials to tools and traps to gain and advantage to the other species. But they still had a hard time surviving against all the different wildlife, may it be plant or animal, so they slowly began to see the benefits of working togeher with others of their kind. They found together in always growing groups which were eventually able to "claim" the ground for them where they could start to use their ability to craft thinks even better. First houses, walls and fields were built and that is what you could see as the beginning of society. Everybody was assigned with a specific task in this society so the people could specialize at what they had to do, though most people focused on finding new, easier ways to put their species on top of the food chain. They did not only perfectionate their equipment but they also started using stronger animals they captured in traps to get their physical labour done. And through working together and the always ongoing advance of tools the Govi could soon(In an evolutionary point of view) call Kosmo theirs.
And todays society only differs in few points from that it arose from. Nowadays automated machines have replaced traps and tools and the use of animals as work force is mostly outdated because they aren't able to deal with any work that involves even simplest thinking. But if someone suitable would be found for these tasks the use of these old methods could be reconsidered due to the Govi disgust to do physical labour themselve. The biggest part of the population is working in in administration, optimization production, like improving machines, or researching new technologys. Of course there is "lower" work that needs to be done by somebody, but most of the time people accept to do them because they know that way they allow the great minds to better their civilization even more and maybe make these jobs obsolete in the future.

Reason to set in space:
One of the reasons the to explore space is to disvove more materials that can be used for the benefit and advance of the Conclave. The other reasons is simply their curiosity and their desire to discover the unknown. Others may see this curiosity as weirdness but it's actually well meant and Govi normally dont't desire to harm anyone, though they don't hesitate to take opportunities they could gain advantages from when they see them. You could compare their social behaviour towards others kiiind of to the Jawa from Star Wars.

Summary of Leadership:
The Govi are governed by an elected Council called "The Conclave" which consists of the most capable thinkers on the planet. It was introduced to have a joint governemt which is able to administrate the planet efficiently and push the scientific advances forward. And to do so you need people that know what science is about.

Summary of Nation: Based off of Celtic/Nordic Society and Religion with Medieval Feudalism. So, in general, think Celto-Norse Vikings with a Feudalistic Society in Spaaaaaaaaace.

History of Nation: -Ahem-

The Eyrsgawyrmii were a peoples of constant warfare upon their homeworld. Ever since the early ages of their civilization to the current era, even with the unification of the planet under a frail "Treaty" which binds all the Kingdoms of Eyral in peace.

The Ersgawyrmii began their reach for the stars as one who observed their culture would expect, in an attempt to compete with one another. War was too costly, the stars on the other hand seemed to be ripe for the taking. Telescopes and satellites showed few viable planets for colonization, but ambition drove the various queens and kings, dukes and duchesses to push themselves into the stars. This was almost a peaceful time for the Eyrsgawyrm, who put aside their worldly conflicts to stake claims beyond their home, but that did not last for long. The "War for Home" soon took place as vague claims and borders of their system collided with one another. Various alliances declaring war as to prove dominance over one another in the system they called home. This lasted for several decades, the first intersystem ships being destroyed and ships built for war being developed. Soldiers and civilians alike perished, soon the global economy sunk and the war ended with many nations simply deciding enough was enough, this war was the last they could take before they erradicated themselves from existance.

Only after the war, had the various realms banned together, though not under one banner quite happily, all agreed that to pursue the stars and end the needless bloodshed, which cost almost every nation upon Eyral Koltes an economic depression, the realms of Eyral Koltes needed to ban together.

The "Treaty of Eyral" was soon formed. Though it is a frail one [treaty], only held together by the elected Imperwyrm, who trades off powers with the local dukes and lords to unify the planet in hopes to avoid conflicts with one another.

Summary of Current Leadership: The Imperwyrm was an elected position from the various lands of Eyral Koltes to choose a leader to represent them all upon the matter of what is beyond their planet. The Imperwyrm has no say on internal politics surrounding the internal duchies and kingdoms of the homeworld, but outside of the homeworld the Imperwyrm has one of the main executive voices to policies and actions taken. This allows the fractured nations of home to unite under their representative on matters beyond their homeplanet, but retain some form of independence.

Culture and Explanation of Ethos: The Eyrsgawyrmii are a natural militaristic species. Icy Sea Raiding now turned into Interplanetary Piracy. The peoples' lives revolve around a system of fuedalism, with a caste system similar to those of old Human Society, making them a pseudo-collective.

  • The Nobility (Greater Wyrms) - The Monarchs and those who own landed titles, controlling land and peoples.
  • The Aristocrats (Lesser Wyrms) - The military leaders, owners of corporations and other peoples deemed "Important" by the Nobility.
  • The Bourgeosise (Wyrmlings) - The "Middle Class", owners of small shops and cafes.
  • The Peasantry (Wyrmic) - Landless "Working Class", important for the Workforce, otherwise expendable to the Greater Wyrms. They are under contract to the Lesser Wyrms and Greater Wyrms as Psuedo-Work Slaves.
  • The Enslaved (The Unborn) - Expendable, peoples who've done wrong and are owned by the Wyrms of great power until their sentence is over.

Homeworld Description:
Eyral Koltes is completely arctic upon the surface, with some partially frozen over oceans only kept warm from volcanic vents underneath the surface. As well as volcanic vents underneath the ocean surface of Eyral Koltes, geothermal energy runs high in vents under the ground as well, sometimes leading to the surface and most of the life on this planet developed around these vents.

The Eyrsgawyrmii are no exception as their species developed underground at first, then coming to the surface and thriving around these geothermal vents in the icy wastes.
