No notification with Guard Code anymore on iPhone

So, first when I set up my Authenticatior I always received a notification on my phone with the Guard Code when I try to log on on Steam. I didn't need to open the app and go to Steam Guard to see the Guard code. However, after I restored my iPhone, I don't get the notification with the guard code anymore, now I have to open the app everytime to check the Guard code.

This annoys me as the notifications were very handy and it required less steps to log on.

Is this ia bug? How do I solve this? I have an iPhone 6s on latest iOS. I already allowed Steam app to give me push notifications.

Same stuff here. In fact, I didn't do anything with my app. It just won't display codes anemore and I have to look them up manually

Yeah, I think it is a bug from Steam. What I did to fix this again: remove Steam authenticator in Steam client and remove the App from your phone, then go through the whole process of setting up Steam authenticator again.

For anyone else stumbling on this from Google I think I found a fix. All I did was open Settings -> Application Preferences -> Steam Preferences in the app, then toggle a setting (doesn't have to stay changed). It should give a saved message and the notifications should start working again.

BTW, i couldnt find any of these options on my iphone...

On your phone in the Steam app.

From any screen in the app you can bring up the menu by swiping from the left of the screen. Settings is at the bottom of that menu.

do you have iphone ?

1, there is no way to "SWIPE" from left to right or right to left
2, only option i see is top left corner vill open menu, there is Settings and Steam preferences and only taggle i see is "Notify mne about new chat messages...."

BTW, i fixed so i loged out from iphone steam app and uninstalling app and reinstall again. also, remove and restart steam authenticator

Did exactly that and it worked!
Removed the Steam Guard from my account, (completely, not even email)
Then removed the Steam app from my phone and downloaded it again,
Then opened the app on my phone and reactivated the Steam Guard,
And it worked!

Solution for me ios is much more simple: Do not log out of application when your done using it.

Wanted to put it here if anyone read these threads still.. Closing the application after your using it is fine, but if you log out then you wont get notifications.

The current solutions will work until you log out of the application then you stop receiving them because you logged out of the app. Log back in if you arent, stay logged in, close the app and you should be good to go.... Try resetting the guard as mentioned above if the others if that still doesnt work.
