@DiABLO_LK: Somehow, a week back or so, the game "magically fixed itself". Haven't done anything(DirectX was up to date too), but the problem was gone. Dunno how, seriously. ^^"
THX again anyway.

TIL fixing performance means lowering the quality of the game .

Firaxis, you need better developers.

@DiABLO_LK: First off: thx for trying to help me.
The obvious: 1. Done, even reinstalled it(although that was rather forced upon me due to something else).
2. Never overclocked, since I don't need it atm. (although my CPU ain't that good, but good enough for me, since I tend to be satisfied with running games at 30FPS atm)
3. Drivers are the latest ones.
4. Have done that all, sadly hadn't worked.
5. Should be up to date too, have to check for DirectX later through.

My windows is 7U 64-bit. Also, the strange thing through is, that these crashes with the "not enough memory" only started to happen for me after the first "hotfix" was released. Which is why I think the fault lies with the game, but well...just for the record, nothing in my system had changed before or after the hotfix - at least not on the days that this problem started for me.

Ok, I think some issues are not general but individual .. at least I never had theese issues... neither memory leaks..

Well I know it sounds crazy but even though if I had 32 GB ram... disabling the page file can result in error messages saying out of memory even if the application only draw 2-3 gb... I always keep mine on auto but have rather did some testing with on off page file.

Have you tried the obvious:

Have you tried to repair local files through steam
disable all overclock
Latest drivers
try to disable some graphic setting like shadows off etc. to experiment with memory draw, leaks etc.
All Windows and DirectX fully updated..

Im runing Windows 10 x64 Pro btw.

@DiABLO_LK: Well, at least in my case it's like this: "A "not enough memory"-crash-message despite the game not even using 3GB RAM out of my systems 8GB...or more like 5GB, which was the crashing point before the "hotfix" due to the memory leak constantly increasing the used RAM while playing..." I see you've got twice the RAM that I have...I also got 2GB VRAM, and the pagefile's set to 8GB as well. It also WORKED BEFORE THE "HOTFIX".
So, really depends on when that problem started, but due to it working before that "hotfix", it's 100% got to be a fault on the side of Firaxis...

iNCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE ! .. All the performance isssues seems to be removed, at least on my system. I could definatly increase details after patch. ex. shadows needed to be off and other settings.

But now with gaming at everything on MAX @ 3440x1440, except:
AA = OFF
Ambient Oclusion = Tile AO
Sceen Space Reflections =OFF

Vsync on ALWAYS 60 fps..

Have to say I had NEVER had a Xcom2 crash, even before patch. Game runs very smooth now, I can recommend!!

Also people writing they have a "Out of memory issue" - This can occur with apps and games if the Windows Page File is disabled or set to a too low size.

My rig:

Intel 3930k @ 4.5 Ghz
Nvidia 980 GTX @ 1520 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 1866
Samsung 850 Evo SSD
Samsung 34" 21:9 Ultrawide 3440x1440p

Sounds like I'm not yet buying this game.. pity because I was really looking forward to it, still too many bugs and low frame rates... no xbox controller support... come on guys?

Wow, thought the game ran better(or more like at all again after the "hotfix")...finished the mission I was in, and what do I get? A "not enough memory"-crash-message despite the game not even using 3GB RAM out of my systems 8GB...or more like 5GB, which was the crashing point before the "hotfix" due to the memory leak constantly increasing the used RAM while playing...
Anyway, that crash always also happens when I try to load a safe made on the Avenger and when the screen should switch to the Avenger-Menu after a mission...

Wonderful, after this patch the game has serious framerate issues and runs even worse than what it was in the launch.

Thanks.

Tabin. Steamwork for you is open. There are plenty mods that change that logical thing
