noticing that i just purchased full game and now its not a full game so quickly, really stinks. i have a boycott list i follow, games that try to change GAMING into a free for all money grab get on this list and they never get a $ again, congratulations! Tropico 5 for making the list and the studios it came from... my gaming budget is huge, too bad....

Tropico 5 is "basically Tropico 4" if AND ONLY IF you think Red Alert 2 was basically Dune 2, or that Mortal Kombat is basically street fighter 2, or that Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy of movies are basically just the same as that animated feature which came out in the 70's.
As a player of ALL the Tropico games, I can honestly say that while the essential elements remain (of course, it's not like the next Tropico was going to be an FPS or an MMO ffs) this is NOT "basically Tropico 4".
It is vastly different, on so many levels. At first I wasn't happy with those differences, now I love them - they are what stopped this from just being Tropico 4 with newer graphics.

I think the difference between Tropico 5 and it predecessor is far greater than between 3 and 4, this is indeed an evolution of the game and a damn good one at that.

I still wonder why they removed the labour camp from tropico 4? I liked it so much to arrest those who oppose me, it was so much more fun to see them contribute to the economy.

4$ for nothing, and that is for a game that is basically tropico 4, which by the way is basically tropico 3.

wow.
