Why won't you guys make a new Steam, I for one have had it with Valve. Their services are slow and crappy, and now banning dev's as well.

He violated the terms of service, simple as that. If your on steam, you all have agreed to that. Comparing this to elsewhere, its the same.

It was not fair for him to take matters into his own hands, being a developer he probably assumed he had authority.....no you do not, you crossed the line.

You got to be a moron to do that just to get Valves attention, where you could of just sent a email. Hope it was worth it.

What the hell are people complaining about?

"Dude, I told you over and over not to leave your front door unlocked. I thought if I went in and stole all your stuff, maybe you'd finally learn your lesson. What do you mean, 'under arrest'?"

Steam wins! lmao!

well done valve, you are great at alienating users - now also developers.

He contacted Valve MULTIPLE times MONTHS ago - they said "we don't se it as significant bug, can't be arsed to fix".

XSS in their eyes is not a serious vulnerability... Moron who made this decision must be fired on the spot.

Bout time people started getting banned for spreading this Harlem Shake nonsense any further

Kazumo, what you fail to understand is that he tried to contact them in private, but unfortunately they didn't listen.

Sometimes the public route is the only option.
Kazumo Jun 16, 2014 @ 9:31am
You people seem to do not understand.
Valve wouldn't have banned him if he didn't use the exploit in public, instead of sending them a private message and help them fix it. He may even have been rewarded if he did so.
Stop trash talking, if you'd be Valve, you'd do the same thing.
