Steam not showing friends playing games

Hey guyz
When I access my steam app it shows that only few friends are playing games and rest who are playing games are shown online but doesn’t show that are currently in game.
Plz help
Using app on iPhone 6s

Guyz plz don’t post “same problem “ in this discussion as we all are aware of this problem and are looking for a fix

I have been having this problem as well. Just noticed it occurring 12/13 till now. The friends list just shows them as being “online” and not in any games. If I click on one of them to go to their profile, it correctly displays the game.

I am using iPhone 8 Plus. I tried swiping up to close the mobile app and reopen and I’ve tried turning my phone off nd back on. Neither of those 2 worked.

Same issue for me. Noticed it starting 12/13. Sometimes friends even show as Away when on my desktop they show as in game. Galaxy S8.

It's actually a "big" problem (quotes since it's just video games) for me because I always use my phone to check and see who is online each night to see if I want to play. Now it looks like everyone is not playing when in reality they might be online.
