Steam Community Market disabled after using new credit card
Hello, I just added a new credit card onto my Steam account to purchase items from the community market. After I added the credit card and went to buy the items it said "Your account may be temporarly disabled, accoutnt will be enabled on September 14th 2013" Is there anyway to remove this disability or ban? I expected to be able to purchase these items today before someone else beats me to them. At least give me a refund and remove the ban so I can use my old credit card.

No, there is no way to remove this. You can buy things at 14th. Every time you use new card it's locked for a week. Real pain in the ass for people who use virtual credit cards.
You can still buy games though, just cant trade on market.

Yeah, the Steam Community Market gets locked for exactly a week if it's the first time the credit card or method of payment has been used. It's to prevent fraud so I can understand why this feature's here. But after the day it's unlocked, you won't have any encounters with it anymore. The Market gets locked for a longer period of time (say, 30 days) if the account has no purchases in the Steam Store and/or if it's a newer account.

So steam has no problem taking my money to buy games but not buy items in the marketplace? Makes ZERO sense. Actaully kinda insulting to me as an adult who can manage and monitor my own credit. Too bad I'm so addicted to CS:GO, otherwise I'd say good riddance to steam alltogether. xD

The store and the market are entirely different and thus diffrent fraud measures are in place. Any more than using your credit card at a gas station is different than at BestBuy or Target with regards to how fraudulent activitiy is detected.

The Steam Market 30 registration is to protect the market sellers from fraud.

If I was to use a credit card I had stolen to buy Steam funds and then use those funds to purchase cards from the market it would be the market seller who would have to return the money back to the credit card company.

Now Valve could simply solve this by transferring the card back to the original owner, remove any fund that were added to the accounts and then return the money to the credit card company but this takes time and money so it’s easier just to impose a trade restriction. A two week restriction would be enough to expose any stolen cards or fraudulent activity but they decided on 30 days instead.

Are you sure of this?

To my knowledge the one week cooldown isnt equal with forever

What is the EXACT error message you are getting?
