Pop ups in Steam

Hi, is anyone else getting pop ups in their Steam exe program!! The PC Speed Test pop up! This is a first for me, is this something new for Steam......or perhaps my system is compromised.

Your system is compromised would be my guess, perhaps post a screenshot of this popup.

I'd say your system is compromised. The pop ups will probably appaer in other browsers as well.

Take a screenshot with printscreen on your keyboard, upload to imgur or something similar, post link.

There are a few different pop ups and there are no other popups in other browsers - I use AVG full program.

Basically the malware is hijacking teh javascript in the Steam browser to pop the ad. So yes your computer is infected with something and AVG missed it.

You can try downloading malwarebytes and see if that cleans it up. But realistically you should probably format since you really don't knwo what 'other' stuff is on there.
