Too many pre-release / alpha / beta games.
I will look a bit more but I REALLY want to filter steam so I do not see anything but full release programs. This is not Kickstarter, I want to reward games that get reasonably complete not invest in something that is a beta for a year or two.

Minecraft was the exception but the majority of these games are asking for more money with less content.

A symbol on the splash screens would be helpful as an alternative so I do not get all excited about a game and find out it is still in beta.

Basically, I do not want to waste my time seeing programs looking for development handouts: get it done, I will buy it. Push them into a separate category of "Greenlight games directory" and that may help.

Anyone else find this irritating or is this the accepted norm?

The only thing I find irritating is the endless stream of people making this same exact topic over and over again.

Hoping they would notice and do something about it... not exactly done without intent.

Jade: it is your right to be irritated but you are not the target audience, thanks for the links, I am well aware. The "endless stream" does not make the observation any less valid, only more so. The attempt to appear more savy with your negativity is also part of an endless stream of behaviour in the forums that creates irritation, so is even less welcome.

Allowing unfinished programs to be sold has completely changed the face of Steam and makes going to GOG seem more pleasant in comparision.
