If you don't like the front page deals...
You should try looking through this site:http://steamdb.info/sales/
It contains a comprehensive list of all the games on sale and their discounts, not just the handful of games that are featured.
Thanks goes to Insomniac Jack for the link.

If you want a list of not only all the Steam games on sale but also other game sales then try this site:http://isthereanydeal.com/
Thanks to Rukia Kuchiki for pointing out this contains the entire Steam sale catalog.

You could also go through your wishlist or search by tags to find deals.

If you only use the front page

Wow, that site is awesome, don't know how I never heard about it before. I'm going to add it to the OP.
thanks
I have a FAR better site. It includes every legitimate distributor of video games, including Steam. It will show you which site you can get it cheapest from.

I was already aware of that site but didn't know they would actually list all the sale games, figured it would just be front page sales. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll add it to the OP.
Thanks for this. ^^
ur skis are gonna cross...ur gonna have a bad time!
Thanks a bunch, makes steam sales that much more of a threat to your money ;)
I wish there was a way to filter out indie titles and filter by what kinds of games you want (i.e rpg, rts, etc.). This one is super cluttered but is useful to ctrl+f to find games you know you want.
search under tags and just click the tags you want, I have discovered tons of good and cheap games just searching key words that I like

Already suggested it in the OP below the links.
Except steamdb won't let me synch my account. Tells me my profile is set to private when it is not... oh well.
steamdb page keeps crashing my browser.
