new to steam
Can anyone help me....activated a games several years ago but have long since forgot the email I had at the time. I set up a new account but cant play the game and support keeps telling me to search the discussions.

Is this problem solvable?

I don't know why support would tell you to search here, this is a user forum, all we can do is give suggestions...sounds like something Valve would do.

Your best, and probably only bet, is to have support help you recover a lost account. They probably need the E-mail or account name to help you though. But to direct you here sounds lazy.

That isn't all true, valve WANTS us to hep, they can't do everything themselves they have to work on half life 2, and I believe this is fixable, I'll go search up a fix :)

I couldn't really find one but you can try login and click "forgot email" and follow the steps there.
