OSX Mavericks
I was testing this cool new OS, but after i tried to install steam, it just not starting after downloading an update, no errors or crash, just not starting after download almost 100 mb update. Maybe Valve could do something about this, i know its a developer build but still..thx anyway.

Does it get stuck at "Checking for available updates..."?

Valve just got their copy the same time you got your presumably. It is intended for devs to test there apps in and get ready for the fall release, so expect steam to work by the fall at the latest.

also make sure "Enable access for assistive devices" is checked in Accessibility or where ever Mavericks equivalent is.

We've done some quick testing and Steam appears to be working fine with the 10.9 Developer Preview release. However, if you're unable to launch Steam and you have multiple versions of OS X on your computer, please try unmounting your non-10.9 hard drive volumes before launching Steam to see if that helps.

Looks like it works after removing registry.vdf, thanks though.

Guys, you have to enable the access for assistive device option but Mavericks doesn't have such option in control panel. If this option off, you can't use "Shift+Tab" function in your game.
So, here is the solution.

you can enable the option by using terminal in your mac.

I wonder if apple has just tweaked the API, requiring valve to make some changes on there end.

The UI in System Prefs has changed, its now under "Security & Privacy" -> Accessibility - and exposes every app. For Steam this shows up as simply "bash". Tick the box for bash and Shift+Tab will work fine :)

oh, so you can select which apps have access on an app to app basis, instead of a total on or off like it is in ML

steam seems to load fine but some of my games don't load properly. I've enabled the assistive devices which allowed them to try to load. But I get a grey screen.

I did:
System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility > Steam.app

It works for me when I use Shift + Tab.

But if then i want to see the achievements or guides, it gives an error:

Error Code: -109

Failed to load web page (unknown error).[/code]

Some errors because of the client in a couple of games. Gish and Bastion that I've seen so far. Both with gray or white screens.
