File Compatibility
So i bought the Witcher 2 and took forever to download on Mac and i cant wait for it to download on PC. Can i transfer the files from Mac to PC will that work? Thanks for helping in advance!!

I think I tried that once and it didn't work.
I'll have to check though cuz I have same problem too.
I just got Batman, Bioshock infinite,that work on mac/pc and want to download them on my laptop at school so I don't hit my ISP caps just downloading some games.

Not to mention the download speeds at school are like 100x faster!

Here's how I understand it: For nearly all SteamPlay games, you get all of the versions at the same time no matter what platform you're on. This includes basically just one copy of most of the files (stuff like textures, sound clips, etc. which aren't platform-specific) plus each version of the engine. There are a few exceptions, like the Grand Theft Auto III series; you can tell them apart because they list multiple versions of the game in your library.

At the very least, you should be able to cut your download times down to about 15% because it only has to download the Windows version of the engine.
