SOLVED: Digital signature problem
I had this issue with Frozen Synapse, but it could apply to any Mac game installed via Steam...

I'm on a Mac running OS X Mavericks. I've installed the Steam client, have purchased/downloaded/installed Frozen Synapse, and it runs from "within" the Steam client (push "play" button). However, every time it runs, OS X prompts me with a warning, asking if I want to allow "Frozen Synapse.app to accept incoming network connections?"

To avoid this warning, I've used the System Preferences > Security > Firewall settings and added Frozen Synapse as an allowed application. However, I continue to get the warning if the firewall is enabled, and do not get a warning when the firewall is disabled.

Steam Customer Support provided this solution, WHICH WORKED...

Please exit Steam. From the Finder:

1. Click "Go" in the menu bar
2. Click "Go to Folder..."
3. Type "~/Library/Application Support/Steam"
4. Click "Go"

Delete all of the files in this folder except for SteamApps and Userdata.

Restart your computer.

Launch Steam and re-test the issue.

Note: This process will not affect your currently installed games.

If the issue persists, make sure your network is optimized for Steam:

This worked for me for a while, but the problem eventually came back. Frustrating and annoying; clearly a problem with Steam, as a lot of people run into this and I don't get it with any other app on my computer.
