Accepting recommendations for a semi-gaming laptop...
Maybe they don't exist, but it seems like everything either has a garbage integrated graphics card and ranges from 300-700, or it has a decent dedicated graphics card but is at least $1k.

Is there anything in the 500-800 price range that has a decent set-up for gaming? I would not be doing anything super hardcore on it like Battlefield 4, Assassin's Creed, Watch_Dogs, etc, but at the same time I want to be able to play something like Civ 5 or some more recent-but-less-intensive games without worrying about the fan ejecting on the splash screen.

EDIT: I honestly don't even know what I'd play on it. I've got a fairly big library and right now I'm just in "complete games" mode, so I'd want to probably focus on stuff like older games I have but never finished (like The Witcher, Star Wolves) and I'd maybe put something like The Sims 3 just to have something to help pass the time.

even the new intel cards are actually pretty decent (and better than my Geforce 9600m)
someone showed me this before though that I'm looking into.
