Looking to upgrade GPU for DS II
I'm looking to upgrade my computer to run Dark Souls II at max, so I'm wondering what would be the best I could find with a GPU. My computer is OEM HP Pavillion Elite with the following specs:
IPMTB-TK (Truckee)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260
Intel Core i7 920
9 gigs of RAM (not sure of model)
460W power supply

I'm just looking to see what I would need to run Dark Souls II effeciently at 1080p and 60 FPS, no more and no less. I'm sure their is an assortment of things I'm leaving out that make me look like an ass, so go ahead and point those out :OhNoBlue:

hmmm, I would highly recommend a gtx 750 ti SC from evga since your psu is really low wattage.

However, you said max at 60 fps, a 750 ti can't do that.

Your gona want a geforce gtx 770, that is gona be the best for your situation. however, your gona also need a better psu. I recommend around 600W.

Actually, the system requirements are lower than I expected. So you could actually get away with a gtx 760.

Right on, that's about the price range I was aiming for. Am I still looking at a 600w power supply, or is it cool if I buy to the minimum of 500w for the gtx 760?

Yes, a 500w will work: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-760/specifications

BTW... Please if anyone else can make sure my judgment is right about the 760 being able to max out dark souls 2 at 1080 60 fps.
Yeah, I haven't really heard much about the requirements for the running the game other than the recommended ones, so it would be great to get any input from someone who has played it already
