The link to the part list is http://pcpartpicker.com/user/rileyo612/saved/ and if anyone has any tips for it reply please. (I've never had a custom computer, so im not good at picking parts but my friend helped me with this.)

You need a 2x4GB memory kit for dual channel.
I know i sound really stupid to you right now, but i dont know that much about all the fancy stuff with computer so what does that mean.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-channel_memory_architecture

It increases the speed of your RAM. You can just use the single memory stick if you wanted to, but it's best to run it in dual channel mode. Instead of a single 8GB stick get a kit of two 4GB. The motherboard will have color coded memory slots. Put the memory in the same colored slots.

I would go with a quad core just because most games do not use 8 cores but 4 cores, and the 4 cores alone on the 8320 are not all that powerful. Also, I would suggest 2x4gb for the RAM because it is more efficiant to have more than one module. Otherwise, looks fine to me :)
any recommendations on the processor?
For that money you can go for Intel i5 build. You dont seem to be much of a overclocker so this build is simple and runs without overclocking. Intel stock CPU cooler is fine if you dont overclock. Replaced the graphics card with same power newer version that is actually available.
Cheaper case, still very good quality.
And why would you need two DVD writers?

my friend helped me build the spec list, so i dont know. And i changed some things with white lights help so if you wanna look at it now, the gpu price wasnt showing up because it was unavailable
and i was going to maybe try to overclock, but i wasnt sure

You cant really overclock much with B85 board, you would need decent quality Z87 board.
And with overclocking build the 1866 Mhz CL9 RAM is probably better choice.

If you have money to spend then more powerful graphics card with bigger PSU that enables you to SLI in future would be good choice too:

Your friend's AMD build would have needed better motherboard also for overclocking:

So which build should i try to go with. I was going to switch back to the i54670 but it is more expensive than the 4670k. The amd is cheapest, but ive never had an amd so i dont know what that is like. You people know a lot, and which would most likely be best? thanks in advance.
what is your budget? what country are you in and ordering parts from?
these are the most basic questions anyone should ask first.
I am getting this as a birthday gift, so if it is too high i will be paying for the over budget, but my parents havent told me their spendings yet. Im trying not to go above 1000 because i will have to pay probably about 400 of that and i dont have an income. I am in the US. buying parts from the us. I want the one with the gbeforrce 770 and i5 4670k but im not sure i can. I will upgrade in the future because i cant upgrade now (I have a crappy all in one). So budget around 1000 give or take a bit.
are you close to a microcenter? $1000 will build an asskicking set-up and with microcenter pricing it will kick even harder.
