i3 2120 Good for cs go ?
Should I pair it with a GPU for better performance? I'm just using my pc for small games such as cs go and g mod

If i understand you correctly, you are using integrated graphics of the processor ? Then yeah you do need a dedicated GPU. It will make all games run much better. For low budget go for GTX750ti or GTX950, but if you can afford it try to get a GTX960 or ideally a GTX970.

What gpu you can run also depends on your power supply.

I currently have a 250-280 power supply, so I need a graphics card that runs off of the motherboard

Is it 250w or 280w ? If it's 280w it might run the gtx750ti, because it only requires 300w psu. But there are no lower card gpu's. You really need a proper power supply.

It is 280 watt

Yeah you can get a gtx750ti then. There are some models that require extra 6pin power connector, but there are some that don't.

Like this one for example:
http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Dual-Link-Graphics-02G-P4-3751-KR/dp/B00IDG3PRI

It does say that it requires 400w psu in the description, but it's wrong, it's a 60w gpu and will run on 300w or lower power supplies, specially with your low power cpu.

Edit:
Specs on the official evga site confirm 300w power supply requirement and 60w max power draw:
http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=02G-P4-3751-KR

It takes about 120 watts on load, but I don't really have anything else that really calls for much power, I even unplugged my DVDs drive since that alone probably takes about 20w

csgo doesnt need alot for a cpu, as long as it has 2 fast cores

i3 2120 is 3.3ghz, more than enough

get a gtx x60+ and it will be fine

gtx 750ti is the best you can get with a 300w psu

My gpu pulls 280, i unplugged my dvd drive to try and save an extra in power, do you think it would run while i wait for my new psu

Isn't the DVD drive using SATA power? If so unplugging it won't help, as the GPU Power Adapter requires 2x 4pin Molex (if the GPU needs 6-pin PCIE power)

Seriously, if you must, get a better PSU. In your system, even a Corsair CX-430 would be a huge improvement over an OEM 280-300 watt PSU. And would be more reliable, efficient, and have the needed PCIE GPU power connectors.

What gpu is pulling 280w, last I saw in your 3 posts you had a gtx750 on order that pulls 55w max.

Ps, the gtx960 only pulls 120w. Get the Corsair CX-430 and you'll have more than enough watts plus a better quality psu all around.

yes the i3 2120 is good for csgo, csgo isn't that demanding

Sorry for all the posts, It's just my first time adding anything to a computer and I want information from people with experience, not just google answers. Thanks for the help!
