Rebind/disable the Big Picture Mode button on controller.
I never use BPM, but I do use a controller. If I'm using an Xbox controller and want to check the battery levels I have to press the guide button, but that brings up Big Picture Mode when I don't want it. I use a Dualshock 4 controller and the PS button is used to turn it off, also activaing Big Picture Mode.

This could be avoided if I could choose a different button or disable it completely.

I don't use BPM and probably never will. I have a 15 month old that likes playing with my 360 controller and it's annoying having to remove the batteries all the time just because of BPM.
That was fixed awhile ago. You have to press/hold for BPM to trigger now.
Which is still a problem when a 15 month old is playing with the controller

Well, don't let him/her play with it?

Steam must not have updated right for me then? If I tap the button, BPM opens (wired Microsoft Xbox 360 controller).

Not letting my kid near the controller is an option, but a much better one would be if I could just turn off the offending feature and forget that it exists. BPM also opens for me on a tap, and I'm on client beta.
GIve me my posting on community disscussions badge steam.
