Steam and Win8 :(
Absolutly none of my games will open through steam - the open as a process in task manager, not nothing further. Any ideas would be awesome

switch back to windows 7 maybe? I don't think games work with that OS yet.

Well it's still beta version don't recommend you to use it right now.

Doesn't it go on general release today? It's possible he has that version, some people will have early access.

My husband installed it on my ancient netbook - I have never wanted rid of an OS that fast before - and I am somebody who liked Vista. :-)

Even Windows 7 had problems with some games at launch though.

win 8 might be nice for phones or pads... but definetly NOT for a pc!!!
i recommend win 7 for at least the next 2 or 3 years.

Got it all wokring - needed to verify cache on every single steam game. I actually really like win8 after playing around with it for a few hours, its really well organised, good looking etc
