I am able to go into offline mode and play my games for about a week, and then the steam account info gets deleted off of my computer somehow. I want to find out how to stop that.
Oh I should add the more recent installations of steam have permanent offline mode problems; if you are updating from an older version of steam, sometimes you are more fortunate (I emphasize sometimes)
I never had problems with the offline-mode so far, but now it is broken, which means, that i cant play the games ive bought. Now i see, how old this thread is, so steam doesnt want to fix it :(
I truly like steam, but the malfunctioning-offline-mode is a really big dissapointment to me.
Sadly many new games, even bought on disk, like Tomb Raider and RE 6 forced me to use steam, which means, i cant play them, while i have no Internet.
I dont like this DRM!
If the steam-programmers would at least give us a signal, that they would finally fix the offline-problems soon, but ... nothing :(
