I can't imagine a better program than Steam. I mean, I absolutely can't imagine a better function than turning off automatic updates and automatic betas for a game so my mods can continue to all run smoothly without a save game crash. Oh, but wait! That's exactly what just ♥♥♥♥ing happened when I opened my Skyrim launcher. Thanks! Thirty hours down the drain because the save file can't be played without some of those mods and they're incompatible.
