What games, what are the specs of your computer.

DayZ primarily, but not just DayZ crashes, the whole platform of steam quietly kicks out.

My exact specs I wouldn't know but I know I have 16GB ram, a graphics card that at least meets the "crisis benchmark" as its called and a 3.6ghz AMD processer. Is that enough or do you need more?

In the Steam Client, if you go to "Help" then "System Information" it will gather what your computer is. CPU, RAM, Video Card, Operating System. Those are the important pieces.

Will Steam crash on it's own, or do you have to be playing games?

Same problem here, I reported this to Steam, cause.. Five times to me, and I saw the same thing, Steam updating. I think it's the new update Steam is putting out doing this!

Same here. Can't play TF2 properly. Steam crashes after ~10 minutes then TF2.

Same for me. It's happening while I'm playing CoD: BO2.
That started today. Maybe it is connected to new Steam beta update?

Been doing it to me too. I try to play csgo. But when i do maybe 15-25 minutes in it crashes. Also i have a karambit slaughter FN. But sometimes the skin will change for some reason. Please fix.

Started happening to me yesterday while playing TF2. After like, 30 minutes max, steam would crash, followed by TF2. I went and deleted all my custom content (HUD, P-Rec, and hitsound), and then a new problem started. Every time I tried to join a new server, TF2 would restart. oO

I completely uninstalled and reinstalled Steam last night. I'm hoping that fixes it. I play TF2 competitively on three teams, sooooooo not being able to play the game would be a major issue for me.

My PC is a 3570K, 16GB of RAM, and a GTX 780 so it's definitely NOT a hardware issue.

I've tryed to use stable Steam and still get a crash. So it isn't beta-related.

What OS is everyone using that's having this issue? I'm using Win 8.1 Pro (have been for months with no issues). I was considering going back to Win 7, but if it's happening on Win 7 as well, that would be pointless.
