Mic Problems On Windows 10
Ever since I upgraded to Windows 10 (From Windows 7) my mic has been experiencing difficulties. There is a distortion which I can only explain as sounding like a monster with Alan Jackson's voice. It has to be a problem with Steam though because I used the listen button in the properties of the mic and it sounded fine. I really need help because I can't use my mic on CS:GO without being muted because they think I'm using a voice changer. Thanks!

Try this:

Right click the speaker icon in the Windows taskbar > recording devices > go to your mic's properties > Enhancements tab > Tick the 'disable all enhancements' box.

If you'll take a gander at your Recording Devices (done by right clicking your volume icon on the lower right hand corner of your taskbar and selecting Recording Devices), you'll see your microphone. Right click your microphone, go into properties, look at the microphone effects and check that Disable button. You're welcome.
