Flash Player Not Working
So I have the latest update for Steam and I also have the latest update for Flash Player (14.whatever it is now). All of these were updated today. Last night I was able to watch a video for a game and it is saying that I need to install the latest version of Flash Player. Don't know about anyone reading this but I see a problem with this picture.

Now problem is I was watching some stuff on Steam last night and it was fine. So this tells me the one of these two updates broke something. I have uninstalled Flash Player as that is the only one I have any control over and reverted back to version 13 for Flash and still no luck.

I am running Windows 8.1 (stop snickering in the back, oddly enough I kind of like it), with a system more than capable of running it so that is not the problem. I would welcome any help in regards to this because while I don't watch game trailers etc often I do like to watch them from time to time. Thanks.

Why am I not surprised that a Steam update broke flash? Now that I think about it I seem to recall something like this happening a couple years ago, but I could be wrong. Anyway I will await help from someone who has an idea how to fix this :P

"You will need to Install the latest Flash plugin to view this page properly."

With the latest update, you are unexpectedly unable to click images or videos of store content.

Yup...looks like the Valve guys have all had a go at this little pooch. Best get it together boys. you broke this thing bad.

Same problem here, but i see no need to even consider the chance it is my problem. Its steam...they screwed the pooch real good this time.

on second thought...you have to opt out of the damn google stuff or it installs itself. follow the link that steam has and thats what you get. I wonder how much google is paying steam to input a gimmic like that for the weekend to make a few bucks? dang marketing goons any way. Thats a cheep trick if you ask me.

Now that i think about it, you might be right. A trick like this could make millions of users install their addon crap.
There ought to be a law stating that in order to install anything but the software you are trying to install, you have to actively choose to do so. Not the other way around as it is now.
Yea steam update messed up
