- Windows Firewall, 3rd party software firewall, and modem/route custom firewall.
- If using proxy, VPN or etc they might be blocking things.
If issue doesn't resolve try reinstalling Steam, move "Steamapp" folder outside of "Steam" folder before you uninstall, then when you reinstall just move back "Steamapp" folder back into "Steam" folder, then try again.
I tried it still not working
already did it...nothing happen
do you have a windows thats update with right zone and time and in sync.
win10, more a ruleout of and not a win7,8
i did not say thats the problem, but MS dont make updates anymore to outdate OS. and it will give issue down the road , but more when it will do it.
no wifi no vpn, more a ruleout not that issue. ( cable only, if possible )
dont forget its you that need to fix it, we other try to ruleout alot of what if this and that.
netsh winsock reset
in an administrative console and reboot.
Restart the router. If that doesn't help, change your DNS to 1.1.1.1. If that doesn't help, call your ISP and tell them to stop blocking Steam as you're a paying customer and expect to use the service.
- Modem / Router need a reboot.
- If you did anything in the Modem / Router settings, check your work to ensure you're not blocking things.
- If connecting to private VPN / DNS networks, they may be blocking somethings. Either set back to default, or use open DNS network like google, or cloud flare.
- Can try flushing your network, open command promt as admin, and give this a try.
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset

If not working still try these in order, then restart, and test.
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
^This is good idea as well.
you sure this is not a router wifi issue. ( test with cable ) reboot router reset config to default )
if you have any idea how many people, run into wifi issue. and many can say same things as you work for years, and somehow now has weak signal. ( wifi with no antenna is been seen as outdate routers. )
Yes i checked twice and also restart my router still not working
no new app and work last date ,,, see installed app under program and feature under os . sorting in date.
keep a eye on link protections app , if this is one of them that block it. ( maybe test with other friend laptop to ruleout ISP and confirn problem is at your pc.
i know it sounds stupid , but see it as process of eliminations, because somethings is not right here, and if this work again within 24hours.
