How did our group go from 7200+ members to now 6800+ members?

Umm, what just happened? I was looking and the group I run, Games You Absolutely Must Have dropped from 7200+ members from only yesterday, to now 6800+ members. And there was not anybody leaving the group since then according to group history. We should even have more members now. What the hay is going on? Did several accounts get banned and deleted or something? I'm finding this pretty strange myself.

Anyways, I hope to get a straightforward answer here.

I think Steam is deleting unactive players from the group. I don't know. Thats my guess because my group did that too.

Well, that's quite strange. How long do people have to be inactive for them to get automatically booted from a group they wanted to be in? Does it say that someplace? If so, I've never heard of that...

It's Tuesday maintenance day. If they're still missing tomorrow, worry.

I'm having the same problem with my groups, plus that isn't my only issue, my activity isn't working well

Funny, as long as I've been on Steam, I didn't know that "Tuesday" was the dedicated maintenance day for Steam. This seems like it could be the answer.

not correct. i have many users in a group im in that have been inactive for just over 7 years.

it will fix itself.

My steam group has -19 members in it now and if I invite someone to it it goes to -18
