ok... whew. not just me... getitng this error also seemed to cause steam to close badly and the next launch tried to run in compatibility mode also.. so had to clean the reg twice already for that... never happened before. win7 64

Have the same issue. Still i had no problems after restarting steam. It made a update and i was like "ah that was the reason". but nope. I cant get into the store.
