Remoteaccess has to have a program on your PC that you had to download. If you download it yourself it's your fault.
Hackers does not exist on Steam. They are certainly not breaking into your account. They sure as hell are not messing up your PC while doing so. Stop taking Hollywood movies seriously.
So right now Steam has ways for you to defend yourself.
SteamGuard: It sends a link to your email and if your hijacker doesn't know your email the odds of them finding it is about 0. Now you can get even more secure by making your email use Phone identification. So now hijacking your account gets pretty hard.
But there is more.
You can also use Phone SMS for when you login on a new place. Vast majority of the hijackers can't do anything about this.
There is also an app for iPhones and such.
So really, just read up on this next time.
