Possible Legal Issue ADMIN PLEASE READ
"Account information incorrect
We've gotten reports that people sometimes see other people's account information on the account page. Valve has been made aware of this and are working on a fix.

Some frequently asked questions:
- No, Steam is not hacked

- Creditcard info and phone numbers are, as required by law, censored and not visible to users"

If this statement means what I think it means then Steam could have a possible legal issue on their hands. I was able to see someones personal details linked to their payment details during this strange profile bug by trying to add a new payment method. After clicking a new payment method (new credit card for example) it auto filled a random users details in including real full name, full address, and mobile number. I even text that number to let them know about the breach and they replied back to me, letting me know that they already knew about it. So basically what I want to know is, does this mean that the details listed above in the quote (in bold) are not censored?

HOW TO RECREATE THIS ON YOUR OWN ACCOUNT:

Go to "Account Details", click "edit" next to your current payment method, then choose any new option from the dropdown list (DO NOT CLICK CONTINUE!). It will auto fill all your details if they are linked to your account.

The fact that we don't hear anything from Steam about this is frustrating.
@BALEKSUS if you wanna be like tht you'll get yourself into more trouble.

Steam didn't notify ANYONE that their information was danger of being breached by other people. Not once. SteamDB posted on twitter about it but claim to not be affiliated with Steam.

@Yui It's a email address. Not much there.
Everyone else: Your information didn't get leaked. That's a fact. Only the last 2 numbers on your card are shown.

Oh and screaming "ADMIN PLEASE READ" won't get them to read it.

If you went to the payment methods of a profile you got from the cache, you could see the info they put to their payment card, including full name, address, phone number and post number. It is blatantly not true that no information was leaked. Only credit card details didn't leak, only the few last numbers. Still a huge issue.

That is a lie, I was able to see people's full names, full addresses, and mobile number, try it out for yourself right now if you don't believe me. Go to "Account Details", click "edit" next to your current payment method, then choose any option from the dropdown list. It will auto fill all your details if they are linked to your account.

My PayPal adress & other things got leaked. Its such a shame.

And because the End-user-♥♥♥♥... People in the EU don't give a ♥♥♥♥.
You'll spend more money paying for a lawyer than you will if you EVER get a settlement from steam
This is why i never save payment info, yes its a PITA typing it in everytime, but stops issues in these situations. Also the email address i use for steam has 2 step authenticaiton as well.

Steam or Valve is just a small pice of nothing compared to the whole community. And privacy is everything in this world, it's life. The fact that you could see other poeples adresses, phone numbers etc. it's a huge rule break. And besides, there are people on steam who have the money and power to go against this company. The steam community isn't just a cup bunch of kids.
