GFWL wants to install every time I launch game
I installed latest GFWL for Windows 10. Every time I launch the game it tries to install GFWL. Windows 10 then wants to download the file. When I select to skip this process the game launches normally, I'm logged into GFWL and I can play. Is there any workaround for the game trying to install GFWL at the start because clearly it's unnecessary.

This is a new one and not heard of this before, must be a Windows 10 thing, you could try looking for the installer in the bulletstorm folder and deleting that. Whether it will work I have no idea.

You could also allow the install to happen if you got a newer version it should just halt the install process.

I deleted the GFWL installer from the Bulletstorm folder but then the game does not run at all. I also allowed the GFWL installer to finish by clicking cancel when Windows 10 offers to download it, but the next time I run the game the same thing happens. I'm going to uninstall and reinstall and see if that helps. It doesn't affect my game it's just annoying.

It is weird how it works like that, still at least your one of the few that has got GFWL to work

I created a Xbox Live account today. I then downloaded the latest Games for Windows Marketplace client which also installed the latest GFWL redistributable. When I launched Bulletstorm for the first time I logged in with my newly created credentials and then the game said it had to update my GFWL to the latest version. When the update completed I was asked to exit and run the game again. That was it.

Yep straight forward and no fuss, wish it was the same for many.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the game actually worked! Now it starts and runs properly! I think it's a Windows 10 thing :steamfacepalm: Also had problems yesterday trying to run Command & Conquer 4 for which Windows 10 requires the .Net Framework 3.5 to be installed and it proved to be way more challenging than I originally thought.
