I Can't play because my account on tdu2.com have disappear

I have this game since 2011 and now I have decided begin to play it. I try to log in-game but I think that forgotten my password because always appears something like that message "this account doesnt exist on tdu2.com"



The site tdu2 doesn't exist. Now is www.testdriveunlimited2.com and mysteriously my account doesn't exist in there, or other thing happened, I don't know. But at www.atari.com it still exist. So strange.


So, I tried to change my password on www.testdriveunlimited2.com without succes and appeared the messsage
"Unable to send mail. Please contact the site admin."
I contacted the Atari support send various tickets and images of my serial key, but they don't resolve my problem. I have the game, serial and everything, but I can't access the game until now. I 'm tired to send tockets and receive the sames responses like look they don't care about customer satisfaction.

I have all the tickets saved in mail, and images of my serial key. I want to know what should I do. If has this happened to anyone else please help me to how proceed from now. May I have make contact with Steam Support? (the game was bought on Steam store).

I can't help much, just wanted to say that I have a similar issue. I bought the game recently, wanted to install it tonight but it told me I had to register on the website... Fine. Apparently I already have an account there because I can't register with my email, yet I can't recover my password as it gives me the same "Unable to send mail. Please contact the site admin." message that you're getting. It says something about the accounts having to be merged but their link doesn't work, it links to a localhost (port 91 I think) which is a really noob error when you're a web dev.

So yeah, I was wondering if anyone else had better ideas. I wanted to send a ticket but if I have as much luck as you do, better not even waste time.

Sorry but no. I have tried use my login and password account from www.atari.com in game and doesn't work. It was the first thing I tried anyway. I have sent almost 20 (each ticket delay 48 hours to response, ever) tickets to Support Atari and until now nothing resolved. After several responses meaningless,now they send automatic responses to me. If I remain without solution about this case I will go all foruns I know and show all tickets to everybody how I was and am being treated by the Support Atari. I'm just waiting a little more. I have the game on account, want to play it and I can't and I don't know why. The game was bought to be a garnish on my library? I'm tired and frustrated with the support atari treatment.

Yeh, so i wanted to add my input to this thread, i have the exact same problem as you.

whats worse for me is that i played the game 2 years ago, when it was first released and gave up on it, since they didnt deliver what they promised, delayed updates, dlcs not added till a year later. which is pathetic for any game whatso ever.

so the other day when i tried to play it again, i get the error, where they couldnt authenticate my password on "tdu2.com" (which doesnt exist) and "atari.com" is not used for this game ..

when i try to reset my password on "testdriveunlimited2" i get "Unable to send mail. Please contact the site admin." ... and well as you see you already have that issue.

The only way i can figure out how to get an account to actually work for the game, is to create a brand new account from the "testdriveunlimted2.com" website.
I know this works, as i tried it out, and i can play the game now. The pathetic part is i now have to start scratch from lvl 1, when i was like lvl 30 or higher on my other account.

CraziieOne, softspokenman eduffa and everybody, you guys did it what the Suport Atari doesn't in almost two months, You did it help me, thaanks a lot. I created another account and it's works now, It's all fine now, thanks again The lesson I learned about all this I will think twice before buy or recommend some product Atari because Support them (
principally the automatica responses, I hate it) . Well, thanks very much for all.

Right, so i wanted to update my situation.
Apparently it IS possible for Atari, to transfer your account from TDU2.com to "testdriveunlimited2.com"
Wether it actually works ingame, and the old save files are back, i dont know, will update once i play the game later on.

I had the issue too, though I was able to recover my old account, everything from it is gone. Basically about 30 hours into it, wanted to come play again, but I'm not starting over. Nope. Uninstall time =x

interseting, everything in my old account still works fine. everything is still there. even the atari points.

umm i went to atari.com and submitted a ticket stating what was wrong, how i couldnt get on because of the error.

told them that it kept telling them it wanted to verify via tdu2.com when it doesnt exist.
waited about 4 days, got email from them saying they have manually switched my account to testdriveunlimted2.com which is the site for the game now.

and well, it works.

good same happened here have sent ticket so will give it a few days still playing with my test drive unlimited the one before this just drive around and finish some of the events found cd/rom for 99 cents install and play offline
