Game of Ur 24. sep. 2013 kl. 18.52
Newcomers and haters, read this.
Haters: Well, you're saying that others shouldn't get this wonderful game because your computer is not good enough to run the game, or just unlucky enough to not be able to log in? Idiocy. Don't tell newcomers who may or may not ENJOY this game to gnaff off just because you can't play. That is selfish. If you haven't even got the chance to PLAY the game, and there is atleast 100 people enjoying the game right now, you can't say it is bad without playing it.

Newcomers: Ignore everyone that says you shouldn't get this game, you may like it, they are usually just people that are having severe problems getting into the game, while 99% of people who have this game are not having this problem. They say it's bad because they cannot play it, which is COMPLETELY invalid. I liked this game so much, that when Legacy of Romulus came out, and nobody could log in, because there was atleast a 3k queue, i waited there. The entire time. And i got in. And i enjoyed it for the rest of the day, despite it crashing constantly and maintenance everywhere because it just released a massive update and there are so many people logged in it is crashing the servers on occasion.

People who hate this thread: Unless you can provide a VALID reason why this thread isn't good for the community, you will be ignored, because...Your arguement is invalid.

People who like this thread: Please post something positive or informative or something, so it remains at the top. If this gets stickied, this will no longer be required, and this notification will be removed (Not the entire thread, if you tired enough to think that).

Its a free game, with an inherant shallowness. Despite that the environments for space are lovely, the space content is entertaining. The ground content is mediocre, and usually the best ground content is found during events. I neither love nor hate this game. I haven't played in a long time.

Sure, it has some Problems, but it is still a good game. And 100% free! Even the Cash Shop Items can be erned by Playing the game, not only by Paying as by other "FTP" games.
That is a point I never seen before in a so called Free to Play Game.
And don't forget the Foundry. Still a Beta but a great feature!

They can post whatever they like, aslong it's within the steam guidelines.

Posts like your are the ones that annoy the ♥♥♥♥ out of me. And I've spent 2000 hours in the game (steam/arc/SA).

Failing to recognise that some of the bugs that exist today, have for YEARS been in the game, and the standard reply from a GM is, "oh did you lose your boxed ship - submit a dev-bug report we can't help you". There are even fleets with bugs in the upgrade system, so after upping the fleet for houndreds of thousands of resourses ... Nothing happens! - There are bugs everywhere, minor and large ones!

Your thread isen't valid, cause it's just 'I'm so blind to the bugs 'cause I am a fan boi thread'. I myself like the game(And am even a lifer), but the severe/critical bugs pisses me off.

Realy funny as ppl talking here about bugs .... i played this game a lot .. i am in fleet whit SB lvl 5 we never have any problem whit working on it from start to end ... i own most ships in game and i never met any bug witch will cripple my game or discourage me from playing this game . About that servers and lags .. thats true sometimes u can get laggy but i got same problems even in MMO like WoW or SW etc so i think this is common problem whit MMOs not only problem in STO. My summary for this game: its one of best F2P game u can get now . have a nice day :spacemonster:

I haven't seen ANY gamebreaking or discouraging bugs. I was running a fed to about 30, then TWO klinks to about 20-35, and now a romulan. At about 25 or so.

You posted all that, in the first post and you've not even reached the current end game? *thread unsubscribed*

Shutup. Just because i don't have hard drive space doesn't mean i cannot describe my feelings about the game, or whatever the hell you're implying.

Hi Everyone, I just started playing. I love it. I am a Klingon. Lt Commander... When I say just started last weekend. My only complaint is that there is no package deal for Klingons. But then, why would Klingons need a package? That is the low down dishonorable thing a Romulan would need. Sorry, english so bad... Universal translator broke and since The Empire is not long the lap dog of the whimpy Federation, I can't get parts to fix it... See you in space, where it's cold.

Been playing a few weeks now hit the level cap for one of my characters. It's not the greatest game in the world (yea I have had some bugs that were just plain silly - Klingon spawning in a wall which killed the mission but not the game). It's not the worst game in the world though and I really quite enjoy it. It's infinitely better if you are in a fleet with active members who are communicative and able to compliment your style. (I like to work as a science vessel with a tac-ship in support).

I did grind it and find that the level cap was reached too early/quickly and I have a Bank full of lock boxes (which require <serious> grinding or real cash to open) but they can be a money earner one day. Level 50 Bajoran Science VA in a rainbow ship callled the USS Selttiks.

On balance I prefer the space engagements compared to the ground missions but that's where I use my noggin and try to avoid the ground missions. Or, if I have to, make sure that I am playing with someone who is in voice contact with me. I'd rather have reall peeps on my away team than the "bots" they supply you with if your gaming alone. But then there are plenty of active players so getting into a fleet with active players makes up for the "rinse and repeat" ground missions.
