Romulan Levelling Issue

I've got this weird issue at the moment and know some others have had it. Basically my Romulan seems to have completely skipped the free ship at level 10. There was no token or even notifcation of promotion from the commander. This is frustrating because from what I heard if you do get the next token at 20 you will just end up with the ship you were supposed to have at 10 putting you behind all the time. My character is at 17 so I am wondering if there is any point continuing on.

It's not a bug or anything, there's an XP boost event on just now so you'll level up faster than the story expects you to. That means the first two points where you'd normally get promotions and new ship tokens will happen at higher level than they should, being connected to story progress.

Just keep going, it evens out around Captain level. Started a new Romulan myself a few days ago, got the level 20 ship token at level 28, and the next at 32. As long as you keep the ship's gear up to date for your level, you shouldn't have any problems with the episodic content.

thats weird cause i got them at the usual lintervals even with the boost

I think it only occurs under certain conditions from what IRMcG was saying. Basically I am at lv17 but the episodes I am currently running through finish when you are supposed to be lv 10.
