main missions

there was mission that jump me up a level each time, i stoped getting them at lv 30 and now its a bit of a grind with no story-line, did i miss something?

The higher you go the slower u level it might take more than 1 mission to level Are you out of episodes at lvl 30? and what faction are you playing.

i am playing as federation, normaly the good missions give me about 7-8k xp but im only getting side missions that give 2-3.5k xp,

Yeah, it starts slowing down around there. Instead of one story mission, they want you to do one story mission and maybe a couple of side missions. Do the Mirror Universe event as many times as you can when it comes up, that should help out.

Good idea, except the mirror event doesn't exist anymore until they bring it back. Sorry, but the only thing you can do to speed up leveling is DOFF assignments and dailies. If you are KDF, the dailies are way better. No Fed gets XP for killing ground or space NPCs.

patrol sone random planets and be sure to do as many rare and uncommon doff missions you can.

Jeez, I have been gone too long. When did they remove the Mirror Universe event? I loved that thing, I must've gained ten levels off of it.

And Feds don't get experience from kills? It's been a long time since I actually had to level up a Fed character, but I distinctly remember quite the opposite.

I usually do the fleet marks to level up as well as the episodes.

Cryptic is slowly getting the Federation leveling experience up to the quality that you find in KDF and Rom.

The Klingon War arc was completed, Wasteland was added as a good tie-in to the ongoing Romulan storyline events, but then you get to the "Romulan Mystery" arc and you get back to original, 4-year old missions with no changes to XP tuning.

As far as a supplement to your XP, Duty Officer system is certain an option, and while doing any queued event will give you some small amount of kill XP, your best bet is to check the "Available" tab in your Journal. Exploration Missions, while certainly less exciting than the main episodes, is an option.

The Mirror Universe event vanished when they released season 8.5 about half a month ago- it did away with all the hourly events. Instead, we get half-week long events centered on the weekends. Right now, it's a bonus marks event. Check the calander to see what's scheduled, but many events appear to simply be gone while the new system is being tested.

As for the experience issue, all sides get experience from kills. The Klingons just happen to have missions that provide even more experience for enough NPC kills, 50 IIRC, for both space and ground. They're daily missions, so it's not something you can constantly pop off. Poke around the contacts UI to find them, and it's best to keep every daily mission you can find active- you can take the mission once per day, and the renewal counter starts instantly. You can thus do doubles after taking a day's break, so long as you have the mission active while you're offline.
