Achievements not playing along
I know it's only a minor thing but I've played through the game a whole bunch of times and my stats for things like Diggles killed and Diggle eggs eaten keeps resetting. Kind of annoying. Anything I can do?

I noticed the same and my guess is that you have to do that stuff in one playthrough which may require all DLCs.

Nah, I had 850 kills and then I inexplicably went back to 0 for some unknown reason

Hmm, maybe without dying?

The game likes to reset the achievement progress at certain points, but usually after a crash, which it does a lot of.

You can check I got most of the achievements, how to do? easy, you prepare yourself to do it in one go, when you feel you are ready, you increase your progress and kill the game before it dies on its own (ctrl alt del).

Since it won't crash (you kill it before it does) your progress won't reset, also it won't save, so you can reload and do some more progress, once you get the achievement you can continue playing.

As far as I've found out, the only reason achievements reset is because the game tries to sync to Steam Cloud. That seem to reset it. I had quite some trouble with resets, but I noticed syncing to Steam Cloud was slow as hell, so I disabled it, and bam, no more achievement resets either. (Yeah, I know this thread is kind of old, but it's one of the top hits when searching on the issue, and since there's not any actual solutions here, I figure I would put it here anyway so other people who search for it may have more luck with finding the solution than I had, as I had to use trial-and-error). :)

I've had the cloud disabled for a long while, and that does not stop the resets. It may be from a crash -- I wouldn't be surprised. This problem was reported at least a year ago by someone else (I checked). I pointed out in the known bugs thread on the GLG forums that it's been a year and it still is not working. They've fixed a whole lot of bugs, but this one is still hanging on.

Hmm, curious. Because for me it was an instant change. I had crashes, achievements reset. Then I disabled steam cloud, kept having crashes, but no achievements reset. :newsword:

i also have cloud disabled, it resets, it doesnt not just reset from crashes, it does it randomly (which may be influuenced by cloud), anyways, if you kick three statues, you may only get two awarded, that's why the only way to be sure is to "complete the achievement" by having all the resources at hand, and then keep adding to progress while restarting because even if you have the 100 things you have to use to get the achievement it may only count for 50 on your progress (and if you dont ctrl alt del and add more now, and instead save and try to collect for another 50, then you will most likely reset on the way)
