Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013

Statistiche:
2HG Decks that work well together.
Ok so just wanted to see what others think are ome of the best combination of decks to play in two headed giant. At the moment i really like playing the exalted deck along side the aura deck it makes boosting one guy really fast and games are over quick. also mana mastery i think works really nice with a fast deck like goblins as goblins taks on the early game and when it runs out of steam mana mastery has fixed its mana base and ready to take control. The third favourite is the dream puppets milling deck along side grinning mallice discard, it can really annoy people though as they literaly get very little chance to play anything!

So anyway what are your thoughs guys and why? also if anyone ever wants to play any 2hg i tend to play that most of the time so feel free to ad me on steam and ill play when i can.

I'm so tired of playing against all the stupid lemmings who use the mill deck in 2HG. Get some skill for fu**s sake and play something else.
I have done very well with Grinning Malice + Berserker Rage. Both decks have haste, GM can give most BR creatures haste, and all of the trample instants make it easy, and quick, to trigger 3 counters on a Bloodchief Ascension. Usually the game ends pretty quickly and it is the single best counter I've found against Crosswinds/anything.
Why do you need decks that work together...Try something else. Well, unless you want to win so bad. I would love to play with bit of randomness, like choose the decks depending od dice roll and see how you can win.

There's nothing wrong with playing strictly for fun, but since the OP's thread is specifically asking about decks that complement each other well, your post is probably too off topic & should be in another thread rather than this one.

P.S.
I'm still pretty brand spankin new to DotP so I'm not sure I have any worthwhile combos to share, but I'm hoping to see some suggestions for decks that pair well with Grim Procession or Grinning Malice.

Grim Procession and Grinning Malice pair well with just about anything, including each other. You really can't go wrong with any combo with those two.

But if you want to exploit GM's strengths - Sootstoke Kindler can give haste to any black or red creature, so it pairs well with decks that have black or red creatures, Bloodchief Ascension pairs extremely well with decks capable of direct damage, and all of GM's discard pairs well with any discard from another deck - OD/SS/RG (although I haven't played RG in 2HG yet). GM also pairs well with mill because IF you can activate a Bloodchief Ascension, then every mill card will end up doing extreme amounts of damage to your opponent.

GP is a much slower deck but has tons of removal and lifegain. It works best in combination with a super-fast deck that doesn't care much about defense - GP operates in a supporting role, removing blockers and providing enough stall through life gain that your partner can basically just continuously attack (which makes GM an excellent partner for it but any fast aggro deck works well. I like GP/AoW personally because AoW can be very fast, has pump spells that can also benefit GP's white creatures, and also contributes to life gain).

Having said that, I haven't played any 2hg since Deck Pack 3 came out and I suspect that Mana Mastery will be the preferred deck for the majority of your opponents. And Mana Mastery might require a different play style to deal with in 2hg.
You are right MallowOni, sorry for that mate!
On topic then.
Dh50 gave good advice. MM is the preferred deck for 2hg, I play probably 50% of my games against it and I needed to adjust some of my decks especially against it. You may try running BR as a support deck, works really well when your partner plays loads of creatures or have powerfull creatures that get blocked by 1/1s. You can get damage thru very quickly as there is loads of pump up effects in BR and they give trample as well.
i see lots of MM and jace in 2hg, if i wanna win i will play talrund. =) talrund + yeva is a pretty good combo, and a fun combo is yeva + green blue. You can bounce oracles for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles with portal and reallly go fast. hehe.
GM+BoF is just win, assend away!
I dont play jace cause i find it just too homosexual to play. (same reason why i didn't play ajani back when it was a 1 mana 6/6 flying life link joke)
I like AoW and goblins alot too, radiance can make some lightning fast wins happen leaving your opponent with full hands wondering what just happened.( great to wipe the smirk off the jace nub across from you)
Grim proccession works well with removal based decks imo as some creatures have 2 "lives" so the board is cleared yet you still have :something: on the board
Yes Yeva and Talrand can be really bad news for opponents. One of the best things for me was playing kicked rite on acidic slime obliterating some crucial MM lands. Jace Turbo Mill with any partner really. You just have to mill one library.
The combo me and my friend are running right now is Grinning Malice and Sepulchral Strength, and we're going with the "What we kill makes us stronger" strategy.

Both decks have life draining/gaining creatures and enchantments which trigger when creatures die (such as Blood Artists, Death Greeters, Hissing Iguanas and Bloodchief Ascension), creatures that get buffed when things die (Vulturous Zombies, Rockslide Elementals and Scavenger Drakes), creatures with strength depending on having creatures in graveyards (Mortivores and Lords of Extinction) and lots of murderous control! SS also has creatures which are beneficial to sacrifice.

Although we only started playing a few weeks ago, this is the best combo we've found so far and we win almost all of our games :)
