Cannot get slam bolt scrappers to run

Hello, I have been trying to get slam bolt scappers to run on my steam all day and the steam solutions haven't been of any help. When I try to run it it says "Failed to start game (unknown error)" Any ideas as of what to do?

It doesn't seem to install DirectX which Steam normally does when it runs any game for the first time after downloading said game. A way around it seems to be to be to go to where Slam Bolt Scrappers is installed. By default it would be found in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Slam Bolt Scrappers. Open the folder called "redist" followed by "directx" and run DXSETUP.exe manually. After that you can just run the game normally via Steam and it works fine.
