Beware, local multiplayer only!

I bought this game when it came out on the PS3 thinking it would have online multiplayer. Nope! It's a purely competitive game, all about versus mode, yet you cannot play it online. I don't understand how developers think this is ever a good idea. Don't bother until they add some damn online functionality!

Edit: My apologies to the developer but I'm simply trying to express what it is that would make me want to double-dip for a game that was, unfortunately, poorly advertised while on the PSN store. I'm glad it's at least advertised properly here on Steam and it is definitely fun when I actually have friends over; though it would be played a lot more if it would just go online already.

Yeah, bad decision - the game looks fun but I never play local multiplayer on my PC.

Also - why have you set the forum to require people to join the group before posting?

We haven't there have been a lot of bugs on this particular forum for some reason. Trying to get it fixed.

Two things I like about the store page for this game...it sates clearly that it's LOCAL CO-OP only, and it STRONGLY RECOMMENDS an xbox controller, rendering threads like this redundant, as well as the gamer's rage when they realise they've been duped by a game that just says 'multiplayer' and leaves it at that.

Sorry, but after looking at the store page and then seeing this thread, I doh'ed big time. Anyhoo, cool looking game, and it's on my Christmas wish-list. Nice work, devs.

for what it's worth, i bought this game precisely for it's local multiplayer support :) My wife and I had a blast playing, and I've recently realized I can lug my PC to friends house, plug into their TV, and have a blast with games like this and some xbox controllers. (the rumors of a steam box made me realize I've already got one, it's just heavy)

Online multiplayer is great and I feel your pain since it's the feature you wanted, but a game like this is best played within strangling distance of your opponents :D
