Hoowwwwdy y'all. Another smaller patch but fixing a lot of the bugs within the game.

I feel like it's now actually getting closer to something more playable, I'm really enjoying playing it myself at the moment and have noticed a few others in the discord managing to get a little bit further into the depths of the game.

I appreciate everyone's patience and feedback, trust me it all helps a lot.

And another little shout out to a community member, MachineLordZero who has been smashing the bug list out for me, giving me a clear direction of whats going wrong. It is, super, super appreciated!

==== PATCH NOTES ====

Are existing savefiles compatible?
- Yes - You do not need to make a new save file although it is recommended.

New:

- Followers can now have claims, which you can honor when defeating town leaders

- Hacking the same object over and over now makes it easier to hack

- Betraying a quest follower by trading them is now possible (fails the quest)

Fixes:

- Fixed Brawler quest dialog

- Fixed confirm action missing translation

- Fixed transfer character screen showing multiple of the same character

- Fixed edge case where two quest givers failed and start states conflicted (Brawler and Summer)

- Fixed town takeover not triggering

- Fixed lights rendering incorrectly (black fuzzy edges)

- Fixed text overflowing on object info pane (bottom right)

- Fixed taming quests breaking after accepting

- Fixed quest screen not showing quest information

- Removed keys and keysellers, doesn't seem to add much and hacking is more interesting

- Balanced Redtown to be a little bit easier

- Can now gather whole resource without stopping

- Slightly moved where quests spawn to avoid overlapping lamp posts

- Increased resource health x10 so they last longer

- Couple more renderer improvements to reduce stuttering

- Removed sandtick from taming quests since it's a bit lame

- Reduced cull batching to be less aggressive (helps with travelling)

Hello, I just started playing and and I like the concept (I'm used to Kenshi so the game feels sort of familiar) though no further impression because I need a bit more time to assess the game itself. Some issues I've found (+questions): 1. "Esc" opens the game menu (save, load, etc) but clicking it again doesn't close it. I need to click the close menu button to do so. 2. The item's detail when right clicking shows the item's name as a button (it's highlighted upon hover) even though it's not actually in...

Hoowwwwdy y'all. Just a smaller patch that won't really change much in terms of functionality but aims to improve some of the stuttering issues people have been experiencing. I'm not 100% sure if this covers all the stuttering issues as there are many different devices to support, this should certainly help in most circumstances.

There is a lot of other stuff I need to get around to so I thought I should get this out now as it can impact people a lot.

For any techies interested, here is a typical tick, and how much is taken on the game logic is highlighted in the animation frame being fired, so anything that extends this time is what we're looking out for.

In the patch notes I highlight the areas which were found to be taking far too long (for example all items could take up to 15ms each on a system with it's CPU emulated to 4x slower than my own.)

I also spotted an opportunity to optimize the way the threads communicate, but this will take longer and is a bit riskier to the codebase stability so I will make this a task I look at on the longer term while focusing on the main game features.

Positive vibes for me, that said, you may want to wait a bit before jumping into a playthrough since a lot still needs to be done to make it more playable it seems. Still, I like what's in the game currently and I *love* that someone is making something truly Kenshi-like!! So all props due for that alone, I will support an overambitious Kenshi-type attempt anytime. Cheers dev, hope you continue working hard on the game! :)

Should have a feedback button/photo in game

there is stuff i just want to send to you in game (don't do discord) but it'd be helpful if you had the option to report bugs in game along with a way to take photos in game to show you whats going on - for example - chatting with the Sand Seeker who wants to go to redtown, he just doesn't follow you sometimes and stays stationary, even while trying to select him to group follow (nvm had to click follow but still seems like they lag behind or decide to work random directions sometimes) also when i go i...

I don't understand how to use Void Loot

I don't know how to use void loot. I click on it, my cursor transform into a crosshair, and then I can't do anything with it. I've tried left and right clicking on anything that could be considered something to loot, but nothing happens.

Demo Issue - Black Screen on Startup (FIXED!)

I downloaded the demo today but when it launches it never does anything other than black screen. The cursor icon changes but aside from that, nothing. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot that issue?
