Forgive my obsession with seeing this as the possible reincarnation of the Ultima series. I'm curious to know if you have plans for future versions of Rogue Fable or if you're working on any other gaming projects?

whats the best race and what should i skill first?

I've been playing the game for not many hours, but dying a ton. I'm not doing weird combinations, I'm picking races that go with the classes. Problem I run into is the late game Elementals and Vortexes. The Elementals deal massive damage at long range, and the Vortexes swarm you and are resistant to Fear (one easy get-out-of-thrashing card). How about the pillars which in one turn: cast a Cold bolt, which deals damage and Slows, *and* generate a Vortex? And there are two pillars side by side. That's the ...

Title! I'm not a super boomer player (I'm around 30), but I just recently discovered roguelikes a year ago, and I've been addicted to such games ever since. One of the key features I'm always looking for is the classic roguelike control scheme that uses the keyboard for movement, looking at certain directions, aiming ranged weapons, investigating, etc. Does this game offer that? I want to be able to play the game with just a keyboard, and rebind keys if the defaults are finicky for me....

While playing I had two ideas for new races. I think I'll just drop them here. If nothing else you all at least can tell me what you think about them. Or maybe some of you have their own ideas for new races. So, anyways, here are mine: Dwarf +2 Strength, -2 Dexterity, Slow, No Encumbrance! (or at least +50% or double encumbrance or something) Lizardman +2 Dexterity, -2 Intelligence, +1 Stealth, +1 Move, -50% cold resistance, Amphibious (= doesn't count as unstable when in water)...
