I have been playing Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds for years on Big Fish. But it seems that every time Microsoft does an update, I lose games on my Big Fish list. Losing Tasty Planet: Back For Seconds today was the last straw. I came to Steam looking for that game and found the bundle of four Tasty Planet games. That was good, and I bought the bundle. I had never played Tasty Planet Forever. As with all games, it has pluses and minuses for me. On the plus side, the game runs fast on Steam. My creatures run fast. It wasn't quite as good on Big Fish. Another plus is the fun of Tasty Planet. If you are going to wipe out everyone and everything on the planet, at least do it with fun and good humor! My favorite creature in the game is the Octopus. The way it jumps out of the water at birds, helicopters, and airplanes is the most fun. On the minus side, I have found no explanation of the rules, though I haven't looked all through Steam yet. The scoring has me completely befuddled. How do I sometimes come up with a negative score? How is that calculated? What gives me those negative numbers? Eating the wrong thing does, I suppose, or running into critters bigger than yours is. But how many points are deducted from your score for each sort of infraction? And just what are those other infractions? How are these negative numbers calculated and assigned? I would favor discarding scoring altogether and just letting us have fun with the game! I'm ignoring the scoring and doing just that. Still, it has me shaking my head. I mean, it's pretty embarrassing to come up with a score of more than -22000! Or would that be less than? All told, I will play this game many times, just as I have with Back for Seconds. This one is a definite thumbs up for me.
