Missing Anarchy pack and Wasteland Sewer mission pack from my game.
I just recently bought Rage on Steam and was told that the Anarchy pack and Wasteland Sewer mission pack were included even though they weren't listed. None of the items that were in the Anarchy pack were in my inventory, and the Sewer entrance hatch near the Ark is locked. Did I miss something?

the anarchy edition is not included with the steam version...only if you preordered the game.

The sewers should become unlocked after you do the 1st mission in the ghost hideout.

Okay, so why isn't the Anarchy pack a seperate DLC pack then? The Anarchy Edition pack is available for download on XBLive and PSN as a seperate DLC, so it doesn't make any sense that it's not available on Steam.

if you purchased the CD-ROM version of this game from Amazon.com or elsewhere, and download it through Steam (after intial installation), you'll end up with the Anarchy Edition. I got this from Amazon last year and surprisingly ended with the Anarchy Edition with all of the extra goodies.

from what i understand, you're not missing much anyway, as far as the anarchy edition goes.

With the Anarchy pack you get a double Barrel shotgun which is nowhere near as good as the combat shotgun you earn in the game as though you fire 2 barrels for double the punch you have to reload after every use. Fists of rage- like gloves with spikes- how much hand to hand fighting are you going to do. Crimson elite armour but it doesn't seem to do anything and a Rat Rod buggy, which in any case is not available until you've done the missions that allow you to earn your own buggy.

You can get the Anarchy pack using special savegames. Some dude on this forum published them.

I disagree with you about the Double-Barrel Shotgun not being as good as the Combat Shotgun. If you have the Double-Barrel Shotgun loaded with Pop Rockets (and crafted alot of them), you'll be able to take down Large Mutants, Krakens, and even the Gearhead Boss with relative ease.

I would add the Shrouded/Gearhead mini-gunners, but I like looting dead bodies so I save the Fat Mammas for them.

I want the Anarchy pack mainly for the Fists of Rage, Double Barreled Shotgun, and the Crimson Elite armor. I never use the Rat Rod Buggy, because it just looks ugly. IT would have been awesome if the vehicle tht was included in the AE pack was a unique type of vehicle, and not look like a 70's Roadster. I like the CE armor because it gives you all of the benefits of the Fabricator armor, Roughneck armor, and Wastelander armor. It just sucks that I have to hunt around for the one thing that should be available as DLC on Steam, just like it is on PSN or XBL.

well I rather take the Rat-Rod Buggy over the Dune Buster, mainly because it's a little more heavily-armored and can take quite a beating. while the Dune Buster makes for a great non-combat racing vehicle, that Rat-Rod is a better combat vehicle (at least until you get the Cuprino).

But I like having the Double-Barrel Shotty loaded with Pop Rockets for the big baddies, because it basically turns your weapon into a mini-grenade launcher.

I agree that the Rat-Rod buggy is tougher in the combat stakes but with regard to the double barrel v the combat shotgun, you receive the combat early in the game from the Outriggers and at that point and for some time after, I cannot remember having access to pop rockets and with buckshot and a faster firing rate (plus a magazine upgrade available later) I prefer the combat, which will still when you have pop rockets act as a grenade launcher to take out larger or heavily armoured baddies. As discussed in a earlier thread a lot depends on your combat style, so you pays your maney and takes your choice.

the Pop Rockets Schematic you can get from Coffer's shop when you first arrive at Wellspring (as well as finding some throughout areas in the Wasteland. but the reason why I use Pop Rockets with the Double-Barrel Shotgun, is because if you're fighting Krakens and Large Mutants up-close (especially if there's more than one), the knock-back effect lasts a tad bit longer and you'll deal either double or triple damage upon scoring direct hits (especially when you continously fire it).

however, the Pulse Shot works better with the Combat Shotgun and could also take a regular Gearhead's head clean off with a direct headshot, due to it being armor-piercing.
Dead Ringer Oct 2, 2013 @ 9:22am
Yes, I know you can buy the schematic when you get to Wellspring but I always seem to have some other priority for what money I have and apart from the mutants and heavy armour guys, you tend to lose out on looting ordinary baddies as they are usually discomBOOMerated. The other weapon I'm not too keen on is the Pulse Canon for the final assault phase, as nothing survives it and there seems to be too much ammo available even in ultranightmare. I'm thinking of doing another re-run and limiting my weapon availability or rather my usage.

well I usually save all of my explosive-based weapons when fighting mutants, as their bodies can't be looted (except for the Slime Mutants), and save the Fat Mammas for fighting heavily-armored baddies.

although, the 2 exceptions I make to that, is using HE Rockets on any Authority troops who get on the turret during Captain Marshall's rescue through the prison courtyard, and using Pop Rockets (and the Quad-Damage power-up) to drain the Gearhead Boss of his health before looting his corpse.
