Game crashed, Avatar xp deleted, says im level 0

I know this is an old bug, but i thought reading it said that they fixed the problem.. it seems the issue is still there as my game crashed and when it crashed it deleted my characters levels and xp, attributes so now im level 0, with 0 0 0 0 of everything.... I find it hard to believe that after almost 2 years of buying the game that this issue still happens.. is there a fix around it or do i need to extract my character from the files of a backup i made at level 7 and try and fix my character attributes there in order to finish playing the game ?

Saves have been moved from steam\SteamApps\common\EYE\EYE\resource\vgui\save folder to my documents\streumon\eye\Save folder.
So maybe there is an issue during the move.

Go to your steam\SteamApps\common\EYE\EYE\resource\vgui\save folder.
Backup all the files in the folder to a safe place.
Then move all files except save_english.txt and save_french.txt to my documents\streumon\eye\Save folder
Now it should work.
