Game works fine on Windows 7 64-bit, can't sadly speak to 32. There are other issues like graphics card compatibility (nothing drastic), resolution issues, and rough textures that you would probably want to mod into the high end ones. If you have a problem running it, this will be due to something other than your OS. The BFG Edition makes too many changes that aren't beneficial, removes mods, removes cheats, and I think still runs similar tech so no benefit to touching that one.

I just got it running on Linux too, but already played through it, on Windows 7 32 bit.
Expansion pack too.
