Which DooM 3 is better? Which one has mods?

Thanks. To me, it seems like DooM 3 wins because it has modding capabilities though the lack of the extra missions does suck but I think mods make up for it.
I hear the extra missions weren't amazing though so I don't think I'm losing out on much.

Mods are fine as long as you are willing to do all the dig and work to make them go, at the same time letting go of the multiplayer, which either way is pretty much dead.

I'd say Doom 3 + Redux beats Doom 3 BFG base. About the only thing you get out of BFG is just general improvements to the game and some things to hold you hand, like increased ammo pickup rates and armor mounted flashlight.
