Language in Burial at Stea
Hi
I just started plaiyng Burial at Sea.
The maingame was completely in German, so I hoped the DLC will be in German, too.
(When you believe Steam it should be)
Can somebody tell me how I can chance the language of the DLC to German?
I only have subtitles in German...

Same for french language, only subtitles and for voxophones, you have to read it in your inventory.:borderlands2:

same problem here, the hole game is in german, but the dlc voices are english.

In the file DLCB in SteamApps/Common/Bioshock Infinite/DLC/DLCB/Audio/packed/windows/banks there's only English(Us)...same in packs file...There's a "Localization" file but it seems that only some written texts are localized (subtitles, start screen,...)

english is the master language, learn it

really though, sounds like lazy localization, probably didn't want to cut into the giant money pile they are gonna make from this 15 dollar, 2 hour dlc by rehiring the voice actors.

hm it should be in other languages too.
the quality of the game is not the same when you play the main game in your local language and the DLC in english...

thats right, and steam says that its avaible in all languages, look on the steam page from this dlc, on the right you can see this table what languages are included, but the files arent uploaded yet....

Yes, and this has nothing to do with "learn english". I played the main game also in english (not totally through, but a good part of it), but I, for example, don't like the english voice of Elizabeth. So i hoped for a german voice translation.

... and a quick look at the product page of the DLC: Green check marks on every language for "Interface", "Sound" and "Subtitles".
Adaphire Nov 12, 2013 @ 11:24am
The product page has been updated. English is now the one and only language for "Sound".

Go to properties of Bioshock, select language, set to english, close, set back your native language.
Steam will now download the speech files you need.

Yeah, tried this already and this will work for the main game, but the DLC is only available in english. At least for the voices.

Voice is only available in english, it´s clearly stated on the shop page.

That changes nothing, the DLC is oonly available with english speech files, it is just downloading the speech files for the maingame then again.

hmm no german voice, i dont think that i play it because the german voice was perfect :/
kickassez Nov 12, 2013 @ 11:33am
hm okay thats not completely satisfying for people who played in their local language...
the shop page has been updated.. before this update there was every language listed for voice.
