TBH i am still new to this whole granblue series and this is my first game, however I can assure you this game is quite fun. Here is my pointers in general:

-Game vibes were like genshin impact (minus the gacha), gameplay like final fantasy/dissidia. All the free character had been given same love from the developer and with the paid one. If you want the paid characters it only cost you like few bucks.. but still wont recommend you to go full cosmetic and emotes, unless you are from those genshin's whale corporation then go ahead and support this developer instead..

-The bosses difficulty were like monster hunter (not as difficult like soul games). So with few fights you should be able to get the grip of the bosses movesets.

-All characters were fun and all of them can fit in the main chapter stories no matter which free character you choose (which is great small detail), and all of them easy to learn compared to soul games. If you are not that good with soul mechanics just find the one called naranya or lancelot and just spam those left mouse button.. In conclusion, just play anyone that interest you.. (if you buy the game, I recommend Zeta to your crew, and if you are Monster Hunter Insect Glaive user then this mad girl shall satisfied your needs)

-Wont spoil the story, but to me its like the classic "together with the power of friendship we are going to smack this evildoers" and its too family friendly for me. But the gameplay and rosetta b**** imo carried my whole playthrough and finish all the chapters..

-Side quest in this game was just hunt this and that and easily completed. No complex quest or puzzle like baldur gate.

-No bugs or black screen so far, all the animation and transitions were smooth. The soundtracks also lit. Especially the ice themed dungeon one..

-And like the classic rpg, you need to GRIND. And my whole gameplay is 60% grind and side quests. But i think its totally fine if you compared it to genshin. And if you only interested with story and had good mechanic, you should be able to finish the game in less a week, or maybe 3 days..

In conclusion, good solid game finished game.. and it looks like there would be other content added in the future..

Quite the little hidden surprise gem here. The chapters can be pretty short, and the maps, or areas for your story/quests are fairly small and linear. The story is really good, love all the characters, it's like a really small Suikoden on an airship taking you to a few floating islands. I hope to see even greater games from this developer
