Once you unzip (unrar, decompress, extract) the MOD
Open its main folder and get to the root folder of the MOD
Inside of it you will see <<public maps>> and <<assets>>
Place the folder MOD (name) containing those files in your
\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization IV Beyond the Sword\Beyond the Sword\Mods\<<ExampleModFolder<<
Start the game
If you did everything right you should have (before you do anything) an ADVANCED option in the first main menu
Select that ADVANCED option and then select load <<ExampleModName<<
You should be able to load the MOD
Once you load the mod then select a MAP «««« either default maps or a dedicated scenario map for the MOD
Alternatively you can just load the scenario MAP for the MOD from your single player scenarios BTS 3.19 menu.
Provided that you placed the MOD in the right location and that it comes with a dedicated MAP.
It should load the MAP`s (WorldBuilderSave= .WBS) respective MOD automatically.

Q: How do we know what version/patch of Fall from Heaven we are running?
A: In the 'Mods/Fall from Heaven 2 030/' directory (or whatever version you are dealing with) there is a readme file. That will have the patched version in it, ie: 'Fall from Heaven 2 0.30e' ie.
Q: How do I make it so that FfH is loaded by default?
A: Just look in the "Fall from Heaven 2" subdirectory in Mods, there is a link that will start directly FfH2 without the need to start Civ4:BtS (or Vanilla for older versions of the mod) first. You can, of course, copy that shortcut somewhere more accessible.
