What do you expect from something that is existing mostly to promote bad consoles?

Even on low JC2 loooks better
Yeah, they also haven't came out with GTA V for PC yet, have they? GTA V is currently only available on nearly 10 year old consoles.

Maybe you should have informed yourself about the Steambox before writing that.

well, modded GTAIV PC looks great, so hopefully GTAV PC looks great too (and even better with mods)

You do realize the Steam Machines are basically PCs running Steam Big Picture with an OS made for gaming, right? Valve said that they wouldn't stop supporting desktops anytime soon.

If it is as terribly optimized as GTA IV you would need to lend a PC from the NASA for using enb on that though!

Basically no.

So like most bets in life, you lost this one also.

Steambox is another step to move away from PC's into yet another console.

Which means no mods, no intelligent games, just oodles of COD clones.

Steambox is moving PC's into the living room which means moving away from consoles, and having more intelligent games. Since SteamOS is based on Linux modders will have the freedom to do mods, and mods will be added to the Steam workshop. Mod's not officially supported in the workshop can be added manually.
If you have any proof of me being wrong I'd love to see it.

I don't buy it.

We will see, but hopefully Steambox will allow mods.

What do you mean you don't buy it? Valve has stated multiple times that Steam Machines (not Steambox) will be open platforms, just like a PC. You can install windows on it, download mods, basically do whatever. You WILL be able to mod your games. And again, Valve has stated that they will NOT move away from desktop PCs. Ever. So your gaming PC is as safe from consolization when the Steam Machines come out as it is now.
